NO _ NO _ NO - This person is NOT a member of the Hurley Pride
OK...got it! I announced on The Morning Show that I was told she was NOT a member! Let's get back to the "punishment doesn't fit the crime" theme here! Susana Martinez is the D.A. in the 3rd Judicial District...isn't that disturbing to anyone but me? Susana Martinez...does the name ring a bell? Running for Guv in our state?!?! Mr. Blooms kids are suffering and will be for the rest of their lives (IMHO), but Vallie Phillips? I don't think she has suffered at all (IMHO again)and her punishment is a JOKE!
Thanks again, Terrence for writing this and exposing this terrible woman and the 3rd Judicial District. Both are pathetic as far as I'm concerned.

Hey lets talk about the Hurley Pride and all the crap that goes on in there..this is for the pride. Can you list down everything you have done in the past 5 years? Ok Christmas Lishts, few food baskets..painted the pool across the tracks which no one uses..what else are you proud about? Its sure not about cutting weeds, or picking up the trash that is blowing from yard to yard. Do you help any old people? Hurley will never change even with all the newbes taking over and talking shit
Okay lets do talk about what they have done. Lets see, yes the painted the pool, and actually that painting on that wall was done by the kids at Hurley elementary. As for no one goes there, you must not come here a lot because that pool is packed all summer. Let see they hold free swim day, thanks to Hurley Pride, Hurley Pride got a swim team this year. Oh that park that all the kids play at and Hurley residents hold party's there, that play ground, you can thank Hurley pride for getting that grant. The Christmas lights, you my not like, but for my kids that take the hay ride every year, they love it, the Christmas bizarre, you may not like , but a lot of people do. That ditch on first street, do you see weeds growing a mile high out of it? No, because every spring Hurley Pride goes out there and cleans it pulls weeds and everything, and that keep it up all summer. How about Hurley Cemetery? Hurley Pride went over there for a whole weekend all day long making it look nice. Food baskets yeah, but you do realize that the people who do get those food baskets are very thankful to Hurley Pride. Do not forget all the events Hurley Pride holds every year, car shows, centennial, ect. And I know they have helped some elderly folks. They cannot clean up every yard that has weeds in it, it is not there job and it is private property, they work on grants and donations, at least they are doing something for the town of Hurley, at least they promote civic pride to most of the residents of Hurley. If you think you can do better then have at it. If you have ideas on what Hurley Pride should be doing, then join and bring them up at the meetings. If you do not like Hurley and just want to complain about it, then stay out of Hurley.

Thank you Hurley Pride for everything you have done and will continue to do.

I don't think Vallie is suffering at all.
She and her husband act as if nothing at all has happened. She must not understand all that she has done and I thing she should be charged with
wrongful death of this poor man.

Maybe try TMZ or people magazine because he worked in television. I am sure this will fade away like nothing happened. So sad.

Maybe Vallie thinks the community will forget
what happened. She does not know what she
really did- to her it was not so bad.
Some one should print out the news release
and these comments and give them to her so she
knows how Grant County feels. We need to let her know it is not OK with us and we feel she should
face more charges. In her case crime did pay.
She stole a lot of money and only had to pay back
a small amount. We really need to think about
who we vote for and see that more responsible people, are in office this includes who we vote for
Sheriff.

It really does not matter what she was or wasnt a member of. Nobody could predict what a person is going to do. You cannot blame any club that a person is in. This is not about the HURLEY PRIDE! PLEASE! Start a new thread for Hurley Pride and let us talk about what happened. READ Lori Ford's post.

Please keep politics OUT of this. We don't need you or anyone else inserting their agendas into this situation. We are smart enough to figure out who to vote for and we don't need any assistance from you to "guide" us on voting day.

I am at a loss. What is a Hurley Society? Even so what does a Hurley have to do with this person's troubles? If you are a town around here, well you have your 15 minutes of fame and tragedy. Hope you are proud now. It's about a thief stealing from an elderly person and acting that she didn't know about the living conditions. If that's what Hurley condones, the heck with you people. PERIOD

Hurley nm is a warm and loving community. No one here would condone this horrible behavior. Most of us have been a victim of Valleys gossip from time to time turns out she is worse than anyone she used to talk about. Talk about ironic. Please forward this story to national media its the only way justice will be done.

Why? Do you want to bring negative attention to your town? Or do you just want to hurt Ms. Phillips and her family? What good could that possibly do for you? I just read every comment. It is amazing the people that revel (and in your case wallow) in someone elses misery. It sounds to me like you have a personal vendetta against Ms. Phillips. Were you there with Mr. Bloom? Were you there with Ms. Phillips? Were you in court? Did you go to law school? Sounds like some of you commentators have since everyone seems to know more than the prosecutor, the lawyers, and the judge.

I also knew Vallie from several years back. She gave me a lot of good advice and helped me get through some confusing teenage years. I'm praying for Vallie and her family. They are good people and I am sure there is more to the story than reported.
I think your right that there is more to this story.
