The Texas Supreme Court doesn't hear criminal cases, therefore it doesn't issue stays of execution.

It's the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, The fifth Circuit Court of Appeals (based in New Orleans) and the U.S. Supreme Court (based in D.C.).

Ugh the death penalty is a joke, Conservative-Republitards are supposedly "Christians" yet they don't practice what they preach.

Great reporting. It's the Court of Criminal Appeals, not the Texas Supreme Court. How much do you want to make a bet Valdez didn't even read the petition. Typical EP Times reporting.
