Sadly.
That judgement is NOT worth the paper it's written on. Let's see that poor victim try to collect his money. A more fitting judgement would have been to take Mr Pure Kleen and put him into a Pure Kleen cell(checked for mold, of course) from 10 - 20 years.Prevents them from biting someone else (in a new town) for at least that long.
The complaint really belonged in criminal court, NOT civil court....so much for lawyers (chasing the dollar sign as their motivation)....DOH !

"TAKING ACTION INVESTIGATION" I'm ROFLMAO ! What a bunch of "self-serving, worthless AHs.

Just proves once, again, that the public will fall for any 'ole' piece of "you know what", if it's packaged right (like it's name, for example).

It's a Taking Action Follow-Up. We did the original investigations, and I've attached those videos to the story. I've changed the headline of the story on our website to "Follow Up," but unfortunately, that won't change the headline in Topix.

I answered an ad for employment with the company, and basically was told I was too old and wouldnt be able to perform the necessary tasks. After reading this, I am happy that I wasn't hired, I would have hated to be associated with such a farce as this. Its too bad that Alabama's AG can't (or won't) pursue these people and sieze whatever assets they have to try and recoup some of the victims' money.
Regardless of what Steviethe1 thinks or says, I applaud WHNT for their part in exposing these criminals.

I also checked on a job with them. I was never called, thank goodness. I did notice a few months later they were advertising jobs cleaning carpets using the same phone # and address as the pure clean ad did.

Thank you for proving my statement to be valid. If it gives you that "rosy and warm feeling" that someone is really doing something about it...then, as they say, "GO FOR IT !"

PS Can I interest you in some great Florida "real estate" ?(underwater, of course)

While they're at it, they should investigate "Mr. Rooter".

WHNT 19 does a superb job!!! Sadly, I no longer get the Huntsville stations, but I check out their website on a daily basis. I couldn't survive without it!

Obviously you know nothing and shouldn't comment. Doing nothing. WHNT put them out of business. And also recovered $2,000 for a Tennessee victim. My father in-law is that victim. The police won't do a thing. Either did the Attorney General and then it was too late. We had to call the Sheriff on Payer. Thanks to WHNT we got some some sort of justice. So put your money where your mouth is Bob.

WOW! WHNT removes comments about themselves but does not remove comments about other people. People have even made comments about a dead cops wife and it was not removed. WHNT you are in need of a decent moderator.

Bob, what are you talking about. We are so fortunate to have a watchdog in our community like this. There has never been. We should all appreciate Wendy Holleran's work in warning us about con artists. And we should applaud WHNT for really taking action. No other station gets results like they do. We are lucky to have this in our small town.

bbb rating is not for crap in cases like this as you just pay the bbb to keep a good score and they show on their site whatever you want them too.until the news or something gets hold of the story then the busines go from a to f just like pure kleen did..they use the excuse their reporting terms are 36 months so nothing will change for 36 months as long as the business keep paying the 400 a year! i knew where ken payer was
and probably still is! but after trying to get in touch with whnt only to get no reply i gave up!sad people can get ripped off like this and the thief gets away clean!!

Frank,
Pure Kleen was never a member of the BBB. He went to an F quickly after theft by deception allegations surfaced. He did go in there and try to resolve the complaints but in several cases he took the money and did not do the work. There is one elderly victim in Tennessee who paid him $2,000. Payer charged his credit card. They never did the work. The sheriff was called and the credit card company did what it needed to do. As for you calling WHNT. Who did you talk to? If you know where he is call again and ask for the investigative reporter who did this story. Her name is Wendy Halloran. There are a lot of people trying to find out his whereabouts. We'd also encourage you to watch all of the reports. There are a total of four including the one about the judgment. Know, this Payer also had his then attorney threaten to file suit against WHNT. That attorney later dropped him as a client. Money doesn't change hands at the BBB. Pure Kleen was never a member of the BBB. So, the $400 you are eluding to is not accurate. We'd love to hear from you. Please try again.

If his rating went to a f then yes he was a member of the bbb cause for you to become a member of the bbb that is to even have them track your ratings you pay 400.00 bucks for them to start you off and then you pay 400.00 yearly fee for them to keep you going..the bbb does not track every business in every industry.they only track the ones that have become members.. also i sent email straight to wendy and told her his whereabout 2 months ago and i had put it up on one of these comment sections where he came back and called me a liar but it gave his location away but i guess cause of the lawsuit yall took it down!!

Troy,
Wendy never got your email. Please re-send to [email protected]
She is not done with Ken Payer and Pure Kleen just yet. And yes, sometimes the comment sections come down. I know she would really like to find out where he is. So would the Attorney General's office. Please, we urge you to re-send the information.
