Deadly Wreck on I-565, Only One Westbound Lane Open

There is breaking news coming into the WHNT NEWS 19 newsroom. There has been an accident on Interstate 565 heading westbound at the Research Park Boulevard exit.

Something needs to be done about that intersection. There has been so many accidents there.

The biggest problem I've noticed around this area is that people are afraid to slow down because they're afraid they're going to lose a dollar if they do. They are the very ones who are nothing but "accidents going somewhere to happen.

It really pains me to see so many people hurting so bad for their first love (money) that they can't even slow down for one moment to even attempt to be content at anything.

C'mon Alabama and the Huntsville/Tennessee Valley area -- SLOW DOWN A BIT, ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS RAINING OR OTHER INCLEMENT WEATHER!

It seems to me that the roads are poorly engineered in that area. There is always standing water there when it rains, and it doesn't seem to run off like it should.
