I will be moving in the next couple weeks to the area with my 15 year old son. My son is finishing his Freshman year here in Northern Virginia at a large public school. He is very athletic (Freshman football, Freshman basketball, JV soccer team) and plays at a very high level of club soccer. I'm looking for recommendations for a team to tryout. It looks like in this age group (rising U-16) that the HSC team is the best, but that the United SC team is in a better overall club. Valley Futbol is the closest to where I want to live, but appears to be the weakest of the three teams. Is this true? I'm only basing my opinions on GOTSOCCER rankings so please don't be offended if I am wrong. Club soccer is very important to my son (probably his number one interest). He has realistic aspirations of playing in college, so which team to join is very important. We won't have a lot of time going to multiple tryouts with him (school will still be in session in Virginia in June so I want to make an educated decision up front. Thank you again for any thoughts and inputs.
