Does anybody know the lowdown on what REALLY happened to James “Jamie” Laurence Butler? He committed suicide, according to the Saturday edition of the Huntsville Times, the WAFF news website, and AL.COM website. WHNT news seems to have totally missed the story all together.

Jamie was a disbarred lawyer from Huntsville, whom used to publish an “illegal” legal advice column called “Butlers Bullets” in the local morning newspaper. He got caught shoplifting steaks from Kroger while in law school in Tuscaloosa, and on Christmas Eve 1999 he was caught shoplifting Waterford crystal, Oscar de la Renta perfume, Godiva chocolate, and expensive dresses from Dillard’s at the Madison Square Mall (while dressed as a woman), and was also charged with assaulting police when he hospitalized one while they were arresting him. He also opened a short-lived failed nightclub called Bears & Bull at the old Hop location, which is now the Hog Wild Saloon. He then got sentenced to seventy-five years in prison for violating Alabama securities trading laws by selling shares in his deceased mothers “Jail Busters” bail bonds company. Maybe you remember that silly “Ghost Busters look-alike” ambulance that used to site in front of his business at Cook Avenue on North Memorial Parkway.

He was in solitary confinement at Limestone Correctional Facility, where he was found dead from multiple stab wounds and wrapped up in a blanket at 5am this past Friday morning. According to prison officials, it was a case of SUICIDE.

Does anyone know anything about Jamie, and more facts about his “suicide”? Sounds like the mobsters that he ripped-off did a “hit” on him. If you know anything, lets here “the rest of the story”. Maybe someone here in Huntsville knows his dad James L. Butler Sr., or his wife Crystal, or his nephew Jay “Jay Mac” McGiboney, or his business partner-in-crime Christopher “Chris” Putman.

According to prison officials, it was the worst case of suicide they had ever witnessed. Very sad.

Jamie Butler was a damn fine lawyer! His Butler's Bullets gave great legal advice for gangsta wannabees all over the Decatur and Huntsvegas area. Once I got accused of trying to entice a young cherub faced boy to go for a ride home in my Jaguar, and Jamie got me off on a technicality. It cost me a small fortune, and bought the judges kid a new Seadoo for Christmas, but freed me up to become a prolific writer and volunteer on the storied grounds of the Myric Childrens Park.

I went to school with Jamie till 12th grade and played some little league sports with him, and I NEVER trusted the dude. He was very snooty; thought his you-know-what didn't stink and often looked down on others. He oozed of dishonesty and gave the impression he felt the world OWED him success. He was always talking smack too and looking out only for number one. He also tried to be a bully, though he would swiftly back down if someone got enough of his mouth and decided to fight about it. Worst of all for his victims, he could feed someone that didn't know him a line of bull and make them believe it - it was almost a "gift". He would have been a fabulous attorney if he could have just refrained from dishonesty outside of the courtroom. Guess it all finally caught up with him.

You've gotta feel sorry for his parents though. They obviously loved him and provided him with the best opportunities, but they just couldn't overcome his selfish streak.

His Dad is involved. It like a group of Little Huntsville Saprano's. It is unbelievable. Some wild crap. Murder, Stolen computer chips from a government contractor sold to the Chinese. I wondered why his sentence was so harsh. They were trying to break him. I want to see the body. I bet he is in a witness protection program. This is bigger than the Huntsville police. Jamie was International.

Word on the street:
Just before sunrise this past Friday morning, Jamie was taken to a small airport southwest of the prison, where he boarded a plane and headed for his “new” beachfront condo on the Gulf of Mexico in Belize. Sometime after the “funeral”, his “widowed” millionaire wife Crystal will probably join him.

Looks like the stories of government contractor Benchmark Electronics (Avex-Huber) computer chips stolen then sold thru a Frenchman to the Chinese government, the unsolved Ross Flores “mob hit”, missing money, and all those Huntsville Mafia tails are as true as it gets. It reads just like a real life spy novel. Too bad somebody can’t do a movie about it… Matt Damon could play a handsome version of Jamie, Scarlett Johansson could play his Barbie doll widow, Christopher Walken could play his evil dad, Leonardo DiCaprio could play nephew Jay Mac, and Sean Penn can play Chris Putman.

It seem that there are some folks with allot of great information about the secretive lives and deaths of these two individuals. Jamie’s obit didn’t even show up for five days, and I doubt the body will be available for viewing at this Friday’s funeral. And I bet he gets cremated, too. With Ross Flores being cremated without his immediate families knowledge, I wonder if he was really ever in a morgue. Probably either a “look-alike” body, or a Hollywood makeup job. He’s probably in Belize, too… waiting on Jamie and company.

Mark Thonrhill, the Investigative Reporter for WAFF News, has done and excellent job coving these stories, and I’m sure he’d would most definitely like any and all of your anonymous information. Please email him at mthornhill@waff.com, and tell him “the rest of the story”.

Jamie Butler was a sorry piece of low down trash. He used drugs and laid out of court. He tried to get me to do fraudulent mortgages. He tried to buy out a slum lord near drake ave. and take his place. He stole gibbs oil and screwed over it. He conned drug dealers. Better yet he used a lawyer from birmingham (A drunk) to practice law through. Told me that I would never amount to anything. Rot in hell.

When you look up public records and use People Finder, it is really interesting the connections of powerful people, money, and Jamie. Addresses are really interesting. Anyone else see what is so easy to find?

I just got back from Belize. Jamie is tanned, trim, and doing well. We went sailing on his 28' catamaran. He's still technically "married" to his widowed wife in Huntsville, but has two really young smokin hot Panamanian chicks by his side 24/7.

Ol' Jamie always gets the finest tang!

Glad to hears he's healthy and living life large.
Your uncle always got the finest women everywhere he went.
If his dick could talk, it would tell us of all the storied grounds that it plowed through. Never a pig in the whole bunch. If there's a Chick-fil-A anywhere in Belize, I'm sure he's there everyday eating chicken sandwiches and blue waffle fries, cause he's one straight-up heterosexual real man. I tried to email him recently, but the link is bad. He's got mine, so tell him to holla holla. Pass it on to him to keep a low profile, cause those chinese government dudes he scammed are still following me and looking for him.

I was eating lunch this afternoon at Amendment XXI just around the corner from my office near the courthouse on the square. Overheard some business acquaintances talking about his widowed wife, and how she's going through cash like she's got her own gold mine. She must have cashed in on some of that gold he buried up on his land on the side of Chapman Mountain. They sure did pull the wool over allot of good peoples eyes. Must be nice!

He conned my deceased husband out of over $420,000.00
It was everything we had. He's such a smooth talker. I now live in a used 8x30 fema trailer home behind my daughters house, and live on around $350 per month of obammacare. At least the good Lord sees fit to send me enough money to buy a bologna and cheese sandwich for dinner each night. I sure wish they'd give me some of my money back, I sure do.

His "widowed" wife (HA!) is buying up buttloads real estate (land between Ham Cove & OXR & G'ville) like its going outta style. I'm talkin millions! Where the hell did she get that much cash? I wonder if the taxman knows? I doubt it, cause they alway ren under their radar. Heard she got word that GOLD is about to TANK big time, and is transferring all his precious metals into dirt. These folks are brilliant... where do they get their info? It's like a gift from God...
