I am a yellow dog democrat. TEA and NEA are education associations. ACORN has been represented as a Get Out the Vote group. By their bad publicity even this ole yeller dog says ACORN needs to clean up its act. Most teachers are humanitarians. A lot of teachers are very conservative. There are many issues to take a varying stance on.

I wish they cared enough to strike, or took their complaints seriously enough to stage a walkout or sit in.

What would actually work, and is unquestionably legal (but would cause the school to grind to a standstill)would be for the teachers to agree to "work to the contract." In other words, do what the contract says; no more, no less.

That'd separate the wheat from the chaff very quickly and people would clearly see how mistreated, taken for granted and underpaid teachers are.

SOmebody make it happen.
