<quote d text>Would be a waste of time running a supercharged 645 hp Camaro that weighs 2600 lbs with slicks against your tree hugging econobox jap ride.

You ricers don't understand the concept of torque. All you all know is turbo lag, neon lights, stupid wings, and a fart cannon muffler.
How about you meet me at the foodland in westmoreland and just try my little ricer there big mouth since you think you know so much

S Point,
You obviously don't know who Lee Howie is. Ironic considering he lives as close to South Point, Ohio where you're from as DeMartino does. Lee is from Wheelersburg, OH. He has a shop there where he builds the world's fastest street cars. Only people "in the know" even know about him. He has built an EVO that he had to detune to 800 wheel horsepower so it is safe to drive on the street. The King of Mitsubishis. And he is from right here where we live.

I know who Lee Howie is. And dude if he builds some of the fastest street cars "in the world", I sure dont see anything he builds running around here much. And if you're so "in the know", then please tell me where most of us street racers hang cause I'm out all the time from Huntington to Ashland to charleston.

I forgot to mention that article about Lee Howie is over 10 years old. He routinely builds 2000-3000 hp race cars these days.

You're comparing apples to oranges dude. I don't see anyone on here driving funny cars on the street here in the tristate or when I go to the local tracks do I see many there. I'm in my 30s man. I've been in this racing scene since the late 90s. I'm not an import guy, I drive/build domestics. We're talking about grass roots/back yard racers here not pro stock guys

And fif the record Howie live in the Columbus area. Far from around here man. Like I said, I've heard of him but he's not from the "tristate" area.

You read the article, but didn't pay attention. Its 10 years old. He lived in Columbus. Now he lives near Wheelersburg.
He doesn't build funny cars. That old Mustang is what gave him his name. It runs on drag radials. Do you know what that means? Read the article again. The rules of the class demanded the car drive 30 miles and then make back to back passes while hot. It is as streetable as any hot rod or ricer on the road.
Wanna talk about grassroots? He builds all his stuff in a garage next to his house by himself.

No. What is a drag radial? I don't have. Clue what that is. Nor do I know what compression ratio is or how it's calculated or that getting the comp ratio has to do with piston height, combustion chamber size in the head or the duration of the cam. No man I have no clue what anything is when if comes to s car. From what I've read with you posting magazine articles, I'd bet that that's exactly what you are, s magazine racer. You probably don't have a clue about the hobby. Yes I call it s hobby because its what I do in my spare time for fun.

Drag radials, is that a type of fuel? Like 87 octane drag radial gas. Yeah. That had to be it

S Point,
You really need to keep quiet because you are showing how little you know about high performance cars, and are making a fool of yourself.
You mentioned how to determine compression ratio. You mentioned combustion chamber "size" as you call it. OK, "size" or volume is one component of the equation. You also mentioned piston height, which isn't directly related to compression ratio. And you mentioned camshaft duration which has no effect whatsoever on compression ratio. Also, you completely left out 2 of the 3 components needed for calculating compression ratio.
Quit being an idiot. You're only 16 apparently. Learn a thing or 2. Then come back here and talk with the big boys.
Then I'll explain to you what you really should have said when you mentioned camshaft duration, and what it means.
By the way, Lee is a friend of mine. I've known him since 1999.
