Read the packaging or contact your pharmicist, or would that be to complicated for you? Do you really think the posters on TOPIX is licensed to give you information on meds?

The op of this thread is asking for help from people who have taken interferon. To my knowledge, interferon is uncommon and is used to treat viral illnesses like Hep C. Sounds like the op wants advice from REAL people and not a drug packet or google. I cant help but maybe people who do, should chime in. What happened to helping people?

3 possible side effects of any drug are nausea, vomiting and diarrhea i understand that you want to know how this med affects others, not all ppl experience the same thing,i dont know but this is what im trying to say...sometimes ppl will think they are having the same side effects as others..if someone says my hair fell out,you may notice you hair is 'thinner' or you'll 'notice' more hair in your hair brush. understand what im trying to say?:D

I was stunned when I ran across this. I have never herd of anyone on this drug. My son took it when he was 3yrs old and it gave him severe flu symptons every night after I injected him with the meds. It took 15min and his temp would sky rocket and he would start to throw up and get cold chills. After being on the medicane for a few months his blood work showed some dangerous systoms. so if you do have to take it, make sure you keep up on your CBC. Things can be going on that you dont know about until your insides start to shut down..good luck

I wish i had never heard of it. I felt like i had a bad case of flu for 10 months. I now have more med problems that are much more worse. And its because of the drug. I'll be going to see drs for rest of my life because of it. It didnt work for me, waiting on liver transplant now. I have a list of 14 things that are wrong with me. If you do it read EVERYTHING you can about it. Lot of sideeffects my dr didnt warn me about. If i had it to do over again......i wouldnt. If you decide to try it i wish you much luck. There is a web site that has class action law suits and other legal things. But there is also bunches of letters on there from people who took interferon. None of them are good. But again good luck

My father has hep c which was contracted in 1977 after a serious motorcycle accident. He received multiple blood transfusions and back then the blood wasn't tested. Anyway, he has been on interferon for many many years with the only side effects being upset stomach and some weight loss.

good guess blah. I still think he is and always will be. He was more interested in my private ins card than he was my health.i paid him 100.00$ for office visits 2-3 times a month.$168.00 for blood work 3 sometimes a month. Then my meds were 1,400.00 a month. He convinced me to take the gold standard itf was gonna work so much better. Had ultra sound before treatment....liver was clean no marks nothing. Every thing normal. Six months later he tells me i need transplant right then. Money well spent huh? But i also made the mistake, thought he was a professional. He certainly had pro prices. Just not pro results. So he almost kills me with first treatment then tries to set me up for treatments again. Wonder where that was going?

Talk to you clinician, but first go online and read the information provided by the manufacturer.

EL- quite doubtful that this person has enough smarts to pull her head out of her ass long enough to read manufacturers info.

Pity the information is readily available and comprehensive. All adverse events noted in clinical studies are documented.

You know it's the hillbilly way to blame the doctor so you can sue and get $$.

No one wants to take responsibility for There own health.

It's always someone else's fault they are idiots
