recycling scrap metal

Anywhere else besides Taylor's? Anyone been to Metric on rt 60? Taylor's takes too long to get in and out now. Shouldn't take 1 1/2 hours to drop a load and you can't even Hardly back in the lot it is so full. Plus you have to park and walk in. Most towns I've worked have places far more efficient.

Taylor's is about the best one around & they Suck! Metrec is just the old Empire. They are bad about cutting weight. You always have mansbach in ky & there's a small scrap place next to them. Good luck!

Thanks. Mansbach is so much better than Taylor's. no waiting. Clean, smooth drive through the loop to unload. Taylor's could at least fill in some gravel on their lot. Like driving through a mine field. Once in the gate hardly room to turn around. The staff there is super nice and helpful but the facilities and processes suck.

taylors is just a slow and inefficient operation, but for most of their clientele it's not a problem. it's working people that can't spend a hour and 1/2 to get through two lines then park and walk in to get paid. they could learn a lot from Mansbach.

Taylors is a good place, the "wait" u all talk about is really only when trucks are being loaded, other than that we try and unload people at a fast rate, it would help however if u presorted your metals before comming back, and then griping about 100 lbs of short iron.

I didn't realize there were so many options for recycling metal. I've gotten into metal working as a hobby and I have a lot of scrap to dispose of. It would be great to get a little money back on it. Besides that, it's good for the environment. I also like the idea of not having a huge waiting time to send in the metal and get paid.
