Rumor has it that a couple have moved into an apartment infested with bed bugs and they are not happy to say the least. The manager blew them off too and is now suffering the consequences. I saw the exterminator at their apt today so hopefully they are getting it fixed. They are expecting a baby in about a month

Yes I know the couple and they told me when they initially called the manager, she got worked up and crazy and asked them how they knew it was bedbugs and how they know so much about bed bugs ( it's called research) I saw the bites and welps on them and it is not pretty. She is expecting a baby and will not put up with her baby being bitten. The manager also told them to stop talking to other tennants-- not sure what that has to do with anything-- but after she said that they went straight to their neighbors who told them that they had bed bugs and knew of other apts who had them. I guess their trying to keep it quiet or cover it up. They didn't have bed bugs when they moved from their old place into this place so that tells me that it was already infested when they moved in. The last I heard from the wife was that the manager asked for a bed bug in a bag for proof. She told me she took some down but kept some back in case they tried to dispose of the evidence lolol

You should find a bed bug and make sure she takes one home with her and see how she likes it! Then I bet she gets the place taken care of! Lol
Thanks for the info

Just because its low income doesn't mean you should have bed bugs! 5 star resorts have had them but the manager needs to take care of the problem!

Bed bugs are no joke. And you cant just wash your bedding and clothing to get rid of them. i lived in the apartments and PEGGY told me it was my fault but I fond out that the person that lived there before had them. when i did my research i found out that those apartments having been infested since 1998. PEGGY tries to cover it up but its nit working and shes friends with the lady at the health dept thats over this kind of stuff.

I moved in there at the beginning of August and moved out by the beginning of September. One month. BED BUGS. I called Bruce at the health department and he really did his part to help us out. PEGGY does this little trick when you call her and have any type of issue she likes to hang up on you. Well, needless to say, she did not hang up on Bruce. Kids from that apartment complex have been sent home with notes from school about their bites. It's been a problem for a very long time there and they just don't do anything about it. I moved In there not knowing anybody, not even introducing myself to my neighbors (I'm very busy, and just like to keep to myself) and when I called her to tell her that my family and I had been getting eaten alive by something and that I thought it could be bed bugs (research on the internet) she lost it. She asked me if I had been talking to the other tennants and how I knew so much about bed begs. She knew it was a problem before I even told her what I thought it was. The maintenance man also lied and said he hadn't seen a bed bug there in years. He came in my apartment, barely looked at anything, then proceeded to spray something that he didn't even know the name of. Very intelligent people working down there for sure. Long story short, they tried to tell me it was my responsibility to pay for the extermination ($700-$900). No, sorry. We left and I will tell everyone I know about my story and experience with the Glenbrier Apts. I feel sorry for the tennants there who may not have alternative homes for their families and have to deal with them.

Um no. 5 star resorts get bed bugs occasionally. I hope you never have to deal with them and have to eat your words. Which, if you live in these apartments, I would definitely be on the lookout.
