Does anyone know a ob that will get me in asap other than waiting several weeks for a intake? I've just found out a week ago that I'm 5.4 weeks pregnant and fear mc due to having 3 in the past 2 years. I normally go to Dr Bower but they're not listening to me at all. Just seems they have no sympathy. My 1st mc happened at 11 week us.): heartbroken and again at 13 weeks. In feb I had a chemical pregnancy and now I'm back to this again. I take a hpt everyday just to make sure the line is getting darker but I noticed this morning it was lighter. I hate this feeling and the unknown. I would love to ease my mind with a dr appt sooner than may 16. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

United Health Professionals in Barboursville CAN be understanding if you get a nice receptionist that will hear you out.....remember they are usually only as concerned as you are so make it clear how you feel and what has happened. Midwife patti hackney is wonderful at what she does and always consults with dr chamberlain if anything arrises that she isn't confident with treating. Dr Brumfield is very compassionate as well. I would not recommend Regina Grome or Cynthia (?), personally. Given your history I would strongly recommend you have your thyroid tested as that is a leading cause of miscarriage. I can't imagine the void in your life......so sorry for your losses

Is your dr a high risk dr? The reason I ask is because you have had 2 miscarriages and you should have been tested for blood clotting disorders which cause reoccurring miscarriages. Dr. Clark is a high risk dr in Huntington. Good luck!

Thanks for all the suggestions. I've never been told I was high risk but I'd consider myself to be. I've always used Dr Bower but this go around I'm skeptical. I tested positive with a hpt on Easter. Since then I started similac prenatal vitamins and cut out my caffeine. I know I can't prevent or stop miscarriage but having a dr that will listen to my concerns has to be a must. I did find out yesterday that I can have blood work done at labcorp without a Drs order. That is a little more comforting considering I will know where I stand with my hcg levels. I don't want to get my hopes up and have something like this again happen but it's so hard not worry about each little thing. I will be calling a few offices today to see if I can find some peace here soon. Again thanks for all the wonderful suggestions.
