I'm deleting my Facebook.

A celebrity dies and the news feed fills up with "mourners" talking about how their lives were impacted by the celeb or how sad they are...

Newsflash, you didn't know the celeb nor did the celeb know you. Get a grip people.

I was thinking the same thing . Most of the time I enjoy Facebook but when the celebs pass away it's never ending posts . I even liked the FAST movies but I promise they were not a big part of my life .

Agreed. Mainly dramatic women or sissified men who post this theatrical dramatic bologna. They are all attention seekers.

Yeah I've seen posts on people saying things like "I can't believe he's gone." Good god, you won't remember who he was in a year. Don't act like you actually had feelings for a guy in a few movies, as if you knew him or something.

I'm not picking sides here, but some people invest a lot of their time in watching movies and shows, following actors they like, so even though they don't know them in real life, they still feel a type of bond to them. What makes a person a "star" to them is the fantasy of living life vicariously, or keying into a commonality thru the characters they portray. There's nothing wrong with being attached to, and emotionally moved by art. I feel sorry for the person who is unable to appreciate art. Those types are usually conservatives who have had their creativity and individuality stripped from them at an early age, so eventually they negate, ridicule, and marginalize most anything produced in the artistic mediums.

It's the same stupid people who are overly dramatic in real life who are acting like tge deceased were their best friend. Disgusting attention seeking looking for validation by getting people to "like" their comments etc.

To those with the negative posts above. When you pass it's easy to see why there won't be very many people attending your service. A few lowly family members and YOU will be forgotten in a few weeks. What have you done to make anyone's day brighter? RIP losers.

You people who post things adoring the celebrity really know the person you see in the movies and on tv? Gawd your dumb if you think you really know the person.

You only make yourself look like fools when you pour your heart out on facebook over someone YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW. Clueless people.

I still haven't figured out why people post about the death of someone they DID know like their parents or siblings. And especially when they are in the hospital with them while they are dying. Why would you take time to get on the internet and post that you are at hospital with a dying or ill person. Nobody on facebook cares you idiots.
