I was told today about one certain male coach whose office is INSIDE the girls locker room. I spoke to several parents this evening who stated this is true. IF and I repeat IF this is true, why is this happening and how does this coach and the Principal and the administrative staff still have their jobs? IF this is true this is possibly a criminal act.

Can anyone confirm this or deny this? Thank you, Concerned Parent

Well, as long as he isn't molesting little girls he is okay.
If he is molesting them, then you know....

He'd go to jail and you wouldn't have a problem?

I mean what would you do if you were given a office in a girls locker room as a male coach, because the other one was taken.

And parents accuse you of being a pedophile despite you being stuck there thanks to the school not caring?

Again, I am seeking out the facts and fully intend to contact the school about it. One of the parents ( again who knows the whole truth ) states he confronted the coach and in retaliation the coach gave his daughter white cards. There are several of the girls who leave the gymnasium and goto female rest rooms to change.

If this is actually happening why is it just now coming to light??? I am in no way accusing anyone as I am as skeptical as anyone else.

I just wanted to put this out in the air and see if this is true or a bunch of bull.

This is not an uncommon situation in middle and high schools. I know that my daughters high school has a male coach and his office in the middle of the girls lockerroom. As long as he is not in there while the girls are changing I do not see a problem. Our coach and his staff always announce very loudly before they enter the lockerroom. Would it be any different if it was a lesbian coach or gym teacher? Nobody would have the nerve to say anything if that was the situation in fear of offending someone or to try to stay politically correct. As long as the coach isn't watching the girls dress or undress I do not see the problem.

Double Standard

We currently have females entering male locker rooms in high schools while they are changing and everyone says its ok because she is a professional. Why are males not extended the same professional courtesy? In a recent post online a mother asked if she should be concerned that her son got upset when a female trainer came up to him while he was nude and changing at his locker and he was embarrassed. The responders all said she had a job to do and was a professional, so let her do it. This coach has a job to do and didn't pick the location, so either make it ok for opposite genders or not ok, but get rid of the double standard or shut up.

Public and private schools both promote perversion behind the scenes. This is why children should be home schooled instead of being indoctrinated by a bunch of perverts.

I really believe they should just eliminate all gym classes, period. If a kid wants to play on football team or that kind of thing, okay, sure, if they MUST. But REQUIRING gym? West Virginia kids need to be taught more important things than dodgeball. Get their reading levels, math skills on par with the rest of the U.S., then play games. And I know I'm pissing off 90% of the Huntington area right now. Don't care.

In all the schools I attended, all the gym classes I was forced to take, half a dozen female gym teachers, and I never saw a single one that was not extremely open about being a lesbian. In the 80's at a Huntington Junior High two lesbian teachers decided all the girls needed to be examined for "scoliosis". We were pawed and groped in only our panties. We even had to remove our bras. No one ever said shit. They got away with it, and I imagine they still do today. How do two gym teachers qualify to give teen girls medical examinations anyway?

Gym class is nothing but a taxpayer funded peep show for perverted adults and I can't believe that parents haven't went wild in the streets over what it really amounts to. My opinion. There it is. Now watch a bunch of you attack me, as if I was the one who committed a crime.

If your so concerned go to the school or contact the administration and don't sit here and post it on Topix. What's the point in blogging on it???? If your that concerned, take action.

How could a school allow this it's mind boggling to me. I think this is completely unacceptable and I be damned if my daughter step foot in that locker room. On the other hand I think facts need to be found out before Anything can be done. If my daughter went there Ide be there to find out the truth for myself and I would find out fast, I wouldn't sit around and wait for answers on topix.

Yeah that's what we need to do, eliminate the only physical activity some kids ever have. Childhood obesity is a real epidemic and in our area even more so. If anything kids need to do more physical activity and since most parents don't make their kids get off the couch to do anything, school may be the only way.

Well, you've got some good points, I'll concede that. And I feel for overweight people, I do. But I staunchly believe that exercising the mind should be first and foremost. Like I said, voluntary school teams, like basketball, etc., okay, sure. But forced gym, I still say it's wrong. I just feel kinda creepy about how much control over "lifestyle choices" is in the hands of the schools. When they have brought our children's literacy rates up to a nationally competitive level, then I say "play ball". But I think sometimes sports are given to the "underprivileged classes" as a kind of pacifier, to keep them quiet and occupied while children from "upper class" areas are encouraged to stretch their minds.

Im a guy that went to the same junior high school. Well, I think. Maybe they all have lesbian gym teachers. Anyway, the scoliosis thing now seems vaguely familiar. And you're right, that's totally ridiculous. Most gym teachers are barely qualified to teach gym. They shouldn't be providing a medical diagnosis.

So many teachers are just incredibly weird. Like that high school teacher that wanted to hang out at the keg parties and take the boys camping.

Yep, you know it. I remember hearing that these "examinations" were being conducted at all the schools, but how would we know? A bunch of teenage girls, the teachers just tell you anything. Here's one for you...about ten years ago, a Huntington elementary school sent home a note wanting parents permission to have their kids run around the track several times and then have BLOOD DRAWN for some kind of test. I think it was for cholesterol. I returned note saying "ABSOLUTELY NOT". They have no business drawing blood from my child. After that, I got THREE phone calls from them, trying to get me to agree. I finally said, "Look, it's a voluntary medical test. State prisoners used to be able to volunteer for the same thing you're wanting to subject my child to in order to obtain reduced sentences. I guess a law was passed preventing you from medical experimentation on prisoners, so now you're going after kids in low income neighborhoods? No means NO. Isn't that what you teach the kids to say?" I didn't get any more calls. Did anyone else get asked to have blood taken from their children after running on a track?

Eliminate gym? I bet you were and are a fat ass, there is no question to it. Some kids actually learn to love physical activity and exercise via gym classes, like some kids pick up math or science. Just because you are a fat ass and come from a gene pool of unhealthiness, don't lash out of physical activity as being the enemy. Geez, what an ignorant, ignorant person.

Oh, Laughing, how will I ever recover?:) Fat ass...wow. You really put me in my place. Try four eyes and pimple face while you're at it. It makes me feel young again, like high school.:) If you don't care to read my whole statement, that's your choice. If you read the whole thing, I said I don't agree with MANDATORY gym, because I think we need to bring up our literacy levels before we can worry about fat kids. Yes, fat is bad, I get it. But West Virginians were more literate 50 years ago, and we had almost no obese people. And I don't THINK gym was required then,(but I might be wrong). Find an old WV textbook from 50 years ago and compare the reading level to one today. I'm truly sorry for obesity-related health problems people have, but the ugly fact is, those kids get in that shape at home, not in school. It's sad, but I just think WV has more dire problems than focussing so much on people who can't control their eating. I know this was a big paragraph. Take your time and sound it out.
