Anyone know a pharmacy around here that dispenses the blue hydrocodone Watson brand, not the white M brand? My mom swears all the other ones upset her stomach, and only the blue ones don't. I'm not sure I even believe her, it seems unlikely because generic or not, I thought every medication, generic or name brand, is the same. I'm not gonna embarrass myself by calling every pharmacy asking for her, besides I doubt they would tell me anyway, since it's a controlled substance. So decided to take a chance and see if anyone on here knows of a pharmacy that DOES give the blue Watson brand, for hydrocodone 10/500.

YOU are a DISGUSTING BAST@RD !! Someone is asking a legit question and you comment with your stupidity.

The blue Loratab is BRAND and her doctor would have to write "BRAND NECCESSARY" on the Rx.

Thank you so much...I honestly think it's in her head though. I mean, arent they all the same, even if they are from different pharmaceutical companies?
And Mr Dawkins....every post you made has been offensive, idiotic, spiteful, or disgusting. It's one thing to get on here and post for a little while a day...but it seems you're on every post. Do you have nothing better to do? You must seriously have no life. I think a lot of people on here would agree with me too. Why can't you post intelligent or useful replies, instead of being an idiot we all just ignore when we see your post?

Cant think of the name but the pharmacy at the mall by where value city was has them also and are cheaper. As for it being in her head..... i was addicted to pain pills for a very long time not now but anyways she is right the "m" brand are not as good as the blue ones i could tell a big differance in them as could everyone i then knew to take them so yea i would try to get the ones she wants. Also keep in mind there is A HEE OF ALOT of tylenol in loratabs which really does alot if damage to the stomach u may want to talk to her Dr. and see if he can give her noraco's which is loratab but with only 325 mg if tylenol as to 500 in the blue ones and even more in others....... just saying, for her heath all the extra can cause so many problems

generics are not the same

Your mother is not imagining the difference. My mother had trouble with heart medicine. Insurance switched her to cheaper generic and she had terrible trouble until her doctor made them switch her back. That's when one of her doctors gave us the lowdown on generic drugs. Some of them are crap. I had same experience with two generic brand prescription cortisone creams, exact same strength, different companies, but one had different "inactive ingredients". One worked, one didnt. Inactive igredients are a big deal in my opinion. The generics arent regulated well and do not have to be exact copies of the prescription medicine they are replacing. Also, I have had same problem with Lortab - works for pain but makes me deathly sick. I would rather have the pain. I havent had percocet for many years (1st Csection) but I remember it worked well and didnt make me sick. I remember my mom having blue percocet (cancer), but don't remember ever seeing blue lortab. If I ever get prescribed lortab again, I will try to find blue ones also. Maybe they will work without the bad side effects. Good luck to your mother. Wish mine were still here with us.

"Generics are not the same" is right. Although the active ingredients are the SAME....inactive ingredients can be different. For example...the dyes they use for color. And, some people can have allergic reactions or feel ill if they are sensitive to a certain dye. I'm sure there are other inactive ingredients that are different...but the coloring is the main one I can think of that would be true for many different medications.
And, another bit of information, most pharmaies won't give you any information over the phone about controlled medications.
Good luck, and keep taking good care of your mom.

Thanks everyone. I've been told by doctors generics arebalways exactly thevsamevas name brand. Then other docs say different. Same with pharmacists Ive asked...some say yes, some say no. I'm glad to know it's probably NOT in her head. I mean, she's in her 50's and in a lot of pain, I don't want her throwing up on top of that...I took her to Drug Emporium, and they gave her the ones she needed. And shes not got dick once. Again thanks to everyone, it was very helpful...except Dawkins, but what else is new?

Glad she didn't get dick ;)[/QUOTE]
Oh My God! I can not BELEIVE my spellcheck did that! That is HILARIOUS but thank goodness my mom doesn't read this site. I honestly don't want to even THINK she has a love life..in my head, my parents are virgins...I was an immaculate conception. LOL
And in response to " ummm...he's on every post and HE has no life? hmmm.. knowing that you'd have to GO to them to see his posts, doesn't that, like, make you a hypocrite??

Well, when you bring up the Topixs forum, it tells you the threads, how many people has posted and the name of the last person posted. On that day, just looking at the home page, threads listings or whatever, he was the last one who posted on about 60% of the threads. Also, when I DO get on here, I don't reply to every single post just to be doing it, or wanting "noticed". And I've seen his past replies...I don't recall not one actually being helpful, or being a semi-intelligent reply, or some are just downright crude. It just seems to me that he posts crazy, weird, rude, or offensive replies just for the attention, to get noticed, or stir up sh:t for someone to get upset with him.
However, gotta give him his props! It worked!
And like I said, to come here a few days a week, browse or reply, is completely different than what he does. I am glad I got back on here though....just to find out I posted my mom didn't get any "dick" LOL
BTW, that was suppose to have been "didn't get SICK" as most probably already knew...And also, thanks guys, for the advice. I honestly was half-expecting for my question to turn into a "pill head" discussion, because most do. But it was great to see you guys post your experiences with generics versus name brand and side effects...I feel bad for even doubting her.
She's doing great btw, I mentioned to her about the norcos, after looking them up....same pain medication, less accetametaphine...she's actually taking my advice and gonna ask her doc next appointment.

I hear the pillheads like to stick the blue ones up their nose more than the white ones.
