That's what I like about it. Does the job, and holds a few extra rounds for tending off a slightly larger gaggle of zombies, lol! Actually, I've been thinking about a home defense shotgun. The idea is that it may be somewhat safer for the neighbors if you are dispatching a stray criminal during a home invasion.

Shotgun 5 rounds max slow reloading
.40 cal more rounds but not as much knock down power
.45 acp carbine 10 round clips super fast reloading far more accurate

You can get a semi-automatic shotgun and you can also get extension tubes for the gun to hold more bullets. A shotgun has a better chance of hitting a target in a home invasion scenario. If you can't see them you can blow a joke through the wall.

He gives a class. A very shitty one. The crap he teaches is rather just plain ridiculous, or was cutting edge in 1952.

I don't know anything about the class or him just that he gives a class.

There was a recent thread about Backwoods Guns, but Todd Howell was in it threatening to sue for slander, and now the thread has mysteriously disappeared. You can guess what the general consensus about the place is.

Well, this is awkward, I'm about to agree with Teflon.

I second shotgun for home defense. Semi-auto, 12 or 20 gauge. Can't beat it. Anywhere you hit them its incapacitating.

WWW.backwoodsgunstore.com 1/3 down layaway 90 day terms. As far as the previous thread yes you are right. A guy who was helping me out at the store left and posted about 75 posts about me and this store. I contacted Topix and had them investigate the Ip addresses of the posters and if they were the same person to please remove the thread which they did. A Attorney was also contacted about a defamation of character suit. Since the thread was removed I will not pursue this.. All I can say is stop by and check us out and make your own mind up. Been here 3 years now and I have plenty of satisfied repeat customers. I will personally bend over backwards to help you with your firearm purchase

Ex-employees can be a nightmare for sure.

I've been in your shop, and whoever was working was polite as could be. To be honest the reason I've never been back is that your prices were way too high. Everyone I know has said the same thing.

I'm not trying at all to defame your character or anything of the sort. I'm just being honest. We all know that there are people who don't do their homework and pay more than they should for products, and if that's your target customer base then so be it. I'm a capitalist pig, so it doesn't bother me any. That doesn't change the fact though that every shooter I know avoids your shop because of your prices. I've heard the same thing from countless strangers whenever the topic of local gun shops comes up.

I truly hope you continue to do well, but you could definitely do better if your prices were more competitive.

I just put 2 guns on layaway at Classic. There prices weren't great, but they were average or slightly below average (once they came down on the price). Gun buyers are like car buyers. We get all warm and fuzzy inside if we think we're getting a deal.

Personally, I know what I want and how much I will pay for it before I walk in. I like to do my homework before spending money. Not everyone is like that, though. There are still quite a few impulse buyers out there.

I could have probably purchased both of them a little cheaper online. But, it's nice to be able to look them over..especially when they have nice wood on them. Also, if there is a problem with it, you don't have to go through the hassle and expense of shipping it back.

Never been in Backwoods, but I may stop in there Monday since my 4-wheeler is in the shop and I won't be in the woods (dammit.) I always buy from local shops instead of the big stores, though. I know it's not easy to make enough profit to keep the doors open. I mean, you can't give the stuff away...right? What is the mark-up on guns, anyway?

I am regularly told I have the cheapest prices in town but if this is how you feel then I respect your opinion. As a owner I shop around for the best prices but there are times certain guns can be very difficult to get When thay are difficult it typically means it costs me more to get it.. On an average firearms make about 10% profit.... I have heard employees in the past look up items for customers and just quote them MSRP I have addressed this issue with these employees because I do not sale at MSRP. It is very easy when you are busy to just through out the MSRP price but it does not show any service to the customers. I have a new employee right now who is kinda green with firearms and he is still learning so be gentle if you come in LOL. We cannot all be experts overnight. But he is trying real hard and he is very personable with the customers. There are many times when I take a BUDS transfer in that I could have sold it cheaper to the customers if they would have bought it from me. I do not know when you were in the store but things change Sometimes for the better sometimes for the worst. I like to think things are better because business has been better. It is important as a business if a customer see's something that is kinda high let the owner know as I do not send secret shoppers out as some store do I just try to be fair as I can

Wonder why none of the gunsops in town carry in hi-point guns my dad has a .45 acp that i like better then my sig. I know they have a bad wrap but ive handled several of the newer ones and they are good guns. There new carbines are as good as anything i used in the army and im a ex ranger so ive used a lot lol To be honest though im 6 foot 4 with huge hands seems to me the hi-point guns feel better in my hands. With exception to my 44 mag super red hawk it feels good but then again i like big heavy guns.
