Storm hit Huntington Friday night and did considerable damage. Where I live we were lucky and did not lose power. Sunday morning we lost power when a relay on a pole kicked out. Over 24 hours later we are still without power. To fix this problem takes one man five minutes if that. I know that there are worse problems where more people are suffering, but I think that there should be someone available to fix these small problems. This has happened several times and it always takes two or three days to get a response from the power company. The problem is that Aep has cut their workforce so much that there is no one to do the work. That is why they always have to call in out of state contractors when something big happens. All Aep cares about are bonuses for their executives while the customers suffer.

I have watched them correct this problem several times and I agree it takes a little longer
than 5 minutes but it is a one man job. I live in huntington. No trees down or anything to prevent them from gaining access to the problem. I also agree that the workers do an outstanding job but there are not enough of them to provide the necessary services.

Thats the mantra of any business these days: charge more money and provide less service, since they are deregulated and were allowed to monopolize, they basically can do whatever they want.

After the storm first hit 75% of wv lost power. It sucks for everyone. They start with the area's that have the most people out of power

Maybe they are working on getting power back to the hospital and sewage treatment plant. You know necessary things. Too bad you can't lounge around in your ac watching tv and scratching your balls. Poor baby

You admit a lot of people are suffering but you want them to stop what they are doing and send resources to your house so you can have electricity. You selfish prick.
