I know for a fact that if you live in Huntington and your items were stolen, they're most definitely in a Huntington pawn shop. Your first move is file a police report. But don't get your hopes up, as was already stated, you need solid proof the items are yours. Don't count on any sympathy from the pawn enablers, despite what you may have read elsewhere our local pawn shops turn the majority of there profits from stolen goods. Yes, if the item turns out to be. stolen they must turn it over and they're out the money they put out. This rarely happens though and its a gamble they take easily. They ask absolutely no questions when an addict brings in any weird/odd assortment of items.

Go to the pawn shop and show the recipients and serial numbers. Maybe they will be stand up and hold it. Even if they sale it, they will have to get it back for you. My property was sold and the state police knocked on the peoples door and got it back.

If you have proof, take it to them and see if they will give it to you. You really need to make sure you have a police report, though. If they won't give it to you, go to the police and file a report. If they do nothing about it, take the store to small claims court along with all information you have and steps you have taken.

Regardless, you should post here and warn others which pawn shop(s) are dealing in stolen items.

Mine was at Tri State in Ashland and downtown Huntington. Neither place wanted to help out. Even had my TV on display. They sold them a few days later. State police took my serial numbers and got my stuff back.

Goldman's is the worst..!!! They know 100% that the stuff is stolen and take it anyway and when you ask them they will totally deny it. Last year I even had the actual pawn ticket that I found in someone's car and it was my stolen stuff. I went to Goldman's and they totally denied it. Then I pulled out the ticket and they said they must have overlooked it. Ok, maybe they should try not ripping people off and be honest.

How come Pawn Shops don't get busted for receiving stolen property like everyone else does?

There should be a law that you can only Pawn stuff if you have proof of ownership of an item you are Pawning.

My Daughters Class Ring from Hawaii was stolen and Pawned in Ashland, we filed a police report and still had to pay to get it back, tell me that isn't crooked.

Goldman's owners, blonde and pill head, are convicted felons. They are not allowed to have guns in the store for sale and can't take firearms for pawn.

They need to start to arrest the ownerss of the places. They know they are taken in stolen goods and does nothing about it.

They need to outlaw pawn shops in huntington period.

They property crimes would drop!

Yep, that's her. He was in on it too. Surprised they have lasted this long. Tri state pawn will cut into their business. Police hate dealing with them.

The couple that own Goldman's are in fact dishonest, convicted felons. They worked at several jewelry stores & pawn shops in the area before opening their own store. I'm not sure if they were convicted of embezzlement or not, although it wouldn't surprise me the least little bit, but I do know 100% for sure of some others things they were convicted of & jailed for. I won't mention the name of the store because it is still in business & the owner truly is a good, hard working, honest man, but they were both working at this place, which is a jewelry store but the majority of the stores revenue came from jewelry repair. They were taking either broken pieces of jewelry from customers who thought they were repairing them right there on site or a customer would come in needing a ring to be sized. They would take these customers jewelry & then remove all the diamonds or other expensive, rare stones (if the jewelry had any) & they were replacing them CZ's or fake replica stones. After giving the item back to the owner & charging them top dollar they would turn around & sell the diamonds or other gem stones & pocket the money. Not only did they rip their customers off, they ripped their boss & the owner of the store off too. The owner had a set price for most jewelry repairs but these two con artists would overcharge the customers & then pocket the money. I don't personally know these two & therefore I have no reason to make this up or to tell lies on them. I did however work at a business that they were previous employees of. They were caught running the same scam at this place but the owner fired them & he did not press charges. I started working there about 2 weeks after they were fired & I can honestly tell you that 2 or 3 years later we were still finding "wrong doings" that they were responsible for. Thankfully the other man they worked for that I previously mentioned did press charges & they were prosecuted & they were found guilty!!! As for the business they own now, I think it's safe to say that they MUST deal with thieves & addicts because their reputation is so tarnished & nobody wants to or will deal with them or buy anything from them. I can't begin to fathom what type of scams they are probably running on people now that they actually own their own business & they can freely do what they want to without having to hide it from their boss. I know we are not supposed to judge others & I really do try very hard not to, but when you are dealing with scum like these 2 it's hard not to. If a person wants to self destruct that's their business but I have a real problem with it when they start involving innocent people who work hard for what they have & make their living in an honest way, very unlike these two!!! Enough said, I am stepping off my soapbox now lol.

Yep. These pawn shop owners are scum. They know they're accepting stolen merchandise, it's almost as if they encourage it. Oftentimes, the police's hands are tied, when trying to recover stolen items....they try. The pawn shop owners are just as guilty as the thieves who bring in the goods. Fucking losers. Say "No" to pawn shops in our town.
