I know someone that refers to their infant son as her little human ALL THE TIME and it was cute at first but now it just seems demeaning. Why is he not her son. Why can't she call him by his name. Instead it sounds like she is referring to him as another animal in her house, (like my cat, my dog and my human) is she so detached to him that she can't refer to him with a name or be proud to say my son.

Lot worse if she called him her little animal, like some parents back in the hills tell of theirs.
