Yeah, I kinda like Ryan Adams and Whiskeytown. Haven't heard Lucero. I'll check them out.

Love the Avetts, Old Crow Medicine Show, The Drive-by Truckers, Bottle Rockets, Hayes Carll, Todd Snider, Kasey Chambers, Robert Earl Keen, Charlie Robison, Alejandro Escovedo, The Gourds, Tom Russell, Robbie Fulks.

When I did my concert list I forgot Rick Nelson(State Fair in 1980 I think) and about a month ago I saw John Hiatt and Steve Earle.

Wow, this discussion seems to have died an untimely death. Guess I'll try to revive it.

Name the double album by Eric Burdon & the Animals released in 1968 on MGM.

Try to do it without wikipedia. LOL!

No idea.

Who put on the best stage and light show of all the concerts you seen?

I've never been a big fan of live music.I prefer studio recorded sound.I suppose im spoiled to hearing it first without mistakes as compared to live.I bought the Genesis live dvd when they toured Europe. It was as good as listening to studio music.I also have Peter Gabriels Secret World dvd and Jethro Tull dvds and these 3 groups sound as good live if not better as they do recorded in studio.Which groups that you've seen live are close to their studio sound and which were so bad they sounded nothing near as good as their studio sound.

Good question. I'd say for special effects and lights it would have to be Alice Cooper, hands down.

Best stage show, however, might have been a tie between James Brown and Elvis. Of course I am in love with Lucinda Williams so her show would rank near the top even if she just walked out on stage and read the phone book.

Most energetic performance by a septuagenarian - Little Richard.
Angriest performance - Jerry Lee Lewis
Most disappointing - Tie, KISS/Ted Nugent
Most Historically significant(LOL)- Joe Cocker & the Mad Dogs and Englishmen
Just down right hippy cool - Neil Young
Most nasal - Bob Dylan

Honorable mention - the Hillbilly Dalai Lama, Willie Nelson
