Yes, I remember now! I don't think they were "one hit wonders either". I believe they had other hits, but I can't remember what they were. Anyone know? I'm thinking they had a song called "Tomorrow" ("things won't be the same. Tomorrow life will be a different game, but right now I am with you and together
we can make it through ..." Am I right? If not, who did this song?

<quoted text> I couldn't agree with you more. Let's have a nice, enjoyable, wholesome discussion and enjoy looking back on the past. Somebody has always got to get in on a discussion and be negative and spoil it for others. We just have to ignore them - they are seeking attention and controversy - when we make comebacks to them, we are giving them what they want.
You do realize my post was not sh-t slinging but rather a whimsical answer to you question regarding Crabby Appleton, don't you?

If not, go back and read it again. Nothing negative intended at all.

Nope. You asked if anyone had ever hear of Crabby Appleton. Crabby Appleton was a "one hit wonder"; that on hit being "Go Back". Hence my admonishment to "Go back where you're from". Those aren't actually the correct lyrics but they're what i thought they were when I was 14.

It was from their self-titled debut album.

Awww! I LIKE "Buttercup". Girl thing, I guess.
I might sound stupid, but did Small Faces evolve into just "Faces" and was Rod Stewart in it?
I sure remember Harper Valley PTA. OMG, they wore the airwaves out with that one. Hated it, but I wish I had the money she must have made.
Worst, stupid, hideous songs/artists EVER? My vote is for either CW McCall or Bobby Goldsboro. Ohh, I Used to get mad whenever they played that awful, sappy "Honey" song. Ick.
There is a GREAT version of Build Me Up buttercup on "The David Johansen Group Live" album.

Two trivia question about David Johansen:
1) What glam punk group did he front in the '70s?
2) What was his stage name in the 80s?

Also,(and this is the most important thing of all)there is a terrific gut wrenching song called Buttercup on an album called Blessed by Lucinda Williams. If anyone is unfamiliar with Lucinda Williams, stop everything immediately and start searching her out. It will be a life changing experience.

I saw the "Bee Gees" when I was about 12 at the Ohio State Fair - went with my parents. This was around 1967 or 1968. I'd forgotten, but I saw Herman's Hermits back in 1965 at the Paul Blazer gym where they performed as the main act on Dick Clark's "Caravel of Stars" - I think Bobby Vee and The Detergents ("Leader of the Laundrymat" performed as well as other noted artists. MY mom took me and the admission was $2.00 a person!

I am surprised that anyone remembers "Crabby Appleton". I was 15 and got the self titled album on 8 track - thought it was a good album - would love to hear it again but my 8 track player ate that tape many years ago!
