Wasn't Eric Clapton in the Yardbirds, too? I love them.

Just about ALLLLL the music on here is stuff I really like. Remember "Psychotic Reaction"? Who was that? Great song, but I can't remember the artist.

"Spirit in the Sky" Norman Greenbaum. Great song.

I just love fuzzbusters and wah-wah pedals.

I miss those long keyboard solos that were popular in the 70's arena rock.

"Black Dog" was on Led Zeppelin II and "Whole Lotta Love" was on Led Zeppelin III, but I believe you already said that.

Jethro Tull. Invented the seed drill. I just find that funny.
My favorite is "Bungle in the Jungle". The idea of monkeys saving their raisins for Sunday always made an impression.
Alot of people arent aware that Jethro Tull was actually a historical figure. He was basically the first agriculturalist. He showed people how to plant in rows and turn crops and also all about animal husbandry. Have you heard any of the front man(Ian Anderson) solo cd's. They're equally good.

You are right. I don't know what is wrong with my old fogey mind. I knew "Whole Lotta Love" was on Led II and "Black Dog" on III - I messed up when typing.

What are some of your favorite Led Zeppelin songs? I like "What Is and What Should Never Be" - Led II and "Stairway to Heaven" - Led IV. What do you think of "The Lemon Song" - Led II?

I remember thinking (years ago) that "The Lemon Song" was the dirtiest song I ever heard. It pales in comparison to some songs in recent years or today. For example, that Nine Inch Nails song has a great beat, but I can't even make myself say the name of that song or maybe all their songs are dirty. I've only heard the one song. When you read this and laugh, keep in mind that I'm an old fogey - after all, that's the name I use.

If I were to pick a song I never want to hear again because it has been played excessively since the year it first came out and still is played too much - that song would be "American Pie". I never want to hear it again - have heard it over and over on the radio since about 1971. Can you think of songs that you probably never want to hear again because they were played too much on the radio? I can think of some that were overplayed during the time they were out, but I don't hear them much anymore such as: Harper Valley P.T.A., "You Light Up My Life", "Star Wars theme", "Ode to Billie Joe", "Dizzy" - maybe I'll think up more later. I wouldn't mind hearing some of these once formerly overplayed songs today, but I NEVER want to hear "American Pie" again. LOL

I always hated that song with the lyrics "Why do you build me up buttercup baby" Who did that?

What were the top bands you never really cared for?

I never was an Eagles fan.Didnt like Rod Stewert,Foghat,J Giles,Little Feat,Bad Company just to name a few of many

British Progressive rules. My favs were Jethro Tull,70"s Genesis,Yes, Emerson Lake & Palmer,Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel

Didnt like alot of 80' or 90's bitch hair bands rock except ACDC but liked the 80's pop groups

Then by the 90's i started gravitating toward Bluegrass or Newgrass as its referred to. Also symphonic type new age like Vangelis and David Arkenstone(not the ambient crap)
