Can't sleep without mentioning - Name some songs by the Grass Roots. What's your favorite Carpenter song? Favorite "Stones" song?

<quoted text>You got me - I don't even know who "The Move" are. I remember "The yardbirds" from the 60's (song - "For Your Love). I don't know band they later came to be. You've got me guessing - I need an answer.

Yardbirds became zeppelin and the move was a big 60's band in the UK became ELO

How about the nonsense song "The Hurdy Gurdy man"? I had that Billion Dollar Babies album and recall the song you were talking about. I didn't realize Donovan sand that part ... "we go dancing nightly ... I'm afraid your little head will fall off in my hands. I can tell now that it is Donovan. That "Billion Dollar Babies" album was something else wasn't it - talk about some nonsense songs. How about that song on it about going to the dentist and getting a tooth pulled "my teeth are o.k., but my gums gotta go." It also had Hello, Hurray and No more mister nice guy on it. Remember that album looked like a green crocodile wallet and had a picture on a Billion dollar bill of Alice and band on the inside. What's your favorite Alice Cooper song? I think "Eighteen" is mine.

You named more Petula Clark hits than I could remember, but I'd also like to add her first and biggest hit "Downtown" and a couple of her lesser known top 40 hits "Don't Give Up" and (I believe her last top 40 hit called "Kiss Me Goodbye)- I love that song. I also loved "Color My World" and I used to know all the lyrics to that song (and it is such an energetic, happy song). I can only remember the chorus now. It has to have been at least 30 years or more since I've heard that song. I had it on a 45 and it is probably around my house somewhere (scratchy if not warped depending on where I stored it. I almost forgot - Remember "Don't Sleep In the Subway" - one of her hits. She was in a movie once with Peter O'Toole. Do you remember having seen that movie based on a well known novel?
I'd like to hear one of todays artists do a remake of her songs. It'd be an instant #1 best seller. The songs were just so mood lifting and with todays pop beat i think it would top the charts.

What one hit wonder song was done by The Youngbloods around 1967 or 1968?

What one hit wonder song during the same 60's era as above was done by Zager and Evans?

Remember a song from the late 60's called "Oh, How Happy (you have made me)? I loved that one hit wonder song and it was performed by ??? I doubt most people will remember the song or the group.

Remember the one hit wonder called "Oh, Happy Day" who was performed by a gospel chorus and was a one hit wonder around 1968. What gospel chorus performed it? It hit the pop charts.

What movie did Lulu sing her one hit song in? What was the song? Who was Lulu once married to?

I'm having a brain lapse - What Leslie did "It's my party" and "Judy's turn to cry"? She had other hits that you may want to mention.

I remember Dusty Springfield, but am having a brain freeze on what songs she sang. Can you help me out?

What was Tom Jone's first hit single? What was his second hit?

Name some Supremes songs. Don't forget to name some of their very first songs.

What hit song did the Supremes have after Diana Ross left the group and was replaced by another lead singer?

What are some of Diana Ross's hits without the Supremes doing background.

What are the names of the original Supremes (besides Diana Ross)?

Who first had a single of "I Heard It Through the Grapevine"? There were two other artists to follow with their versions of the same song. Who were they?

Who did versions of "Proud Mary"? Who first?

What album was "Whole Lotta Love On" and who performed it?(This should be an easy one.)

What album was the song "Black Dog" on, but there was no mention of any black dog in any of the lyrics? Who again performed it?

What album was "Stairway to Heaven" on?

Who did the remote hit "Badge", but nothing is said about a badge or the word "badge" isn't mentioned in any part of the song. This might be referred to as a nonsense song.

I never had a clue that the Yardbirds became Led Zeppelin. Who was in the Yardbirds when they became Led Zeppelin? I know ELO, but never knew them as "The Move". Thanks for the trivia.
