Is there many people out there prepping & preparing for a total collapse of our financial system, or a terrorist attack, or maybe for the electric grid to go off for long periods of time, or a Presidential Order for marshall Law?

If so, whats some tips and reminders we should know? or just elaborate your thoughts on this matter.

Also, have people noticed all the trial & mock evacuations that Emergency Management Sytems here in WV have been doing? All the Federal $$$$ that is coming into this state, for WV to prepare for huge disasters, and setting up shelters for a mass of people, and huge generators for when the power goes out.

Please give us thoughts and ideas on this subject.

Im prepping. I read some preppint web sites. Stocking up on food and water and emergency supplies. There are several decent sites, just google "survival blog". Also, there are a couple great lists online, including "the first 100 things to disappear from store shelves in an emergency" and "100 survival gadgets". Im not preparing for a nuclear holocaust, bc thats probably tough shit for everyone, but i am trying to prepare to be off the grid for up to 90 days due to an emergecy or short term problem with the grid or food supply chain. Im not raising chickens, but doing just about everything short of that.

I don't need to prepare for such emergencies. Instead I just make note of everyone I meet that are anti gun people. Then in the event of an emergency, I'll just go to their house with my gun and take their stuff. The only thing I need to stock up on is ammo.

Yea, there is lots of fine websites with the prepping info on them. A 90 day prep is a good thing, because so many people won't be prepared for 90 minutes, let alone 90 days. As for me, I am trying to prep for a longer time,(which being in the country is easier doing that, then if one lives in town) I am raising animals also. Goats, chickens, turkeys, guineas, ducks & geese, and will continue to add new varieites as time and money permits. I also am trying to think of my friends & family who never found a reason to stock up. There will be so many people who never found the need to stock up, even tho the signs were all around them.

There are lots of "I don't want a gun in my house" kind of people, so even if I have to take from a dozen or so of them to get a good ration of supplies I don't think I'll have much trouble surviving.

Hubby and I have been prepping for many years. We have a select group of equally ready friends. When tshtf, we have a predesignated rally point from which we will caravan to a nice place we've been getting ready out in the sticks. So long to anyone who couldn't be bothered to live past the end of their noses. Our thought has been to have enough food stocks to last a year and then our gardens and livestock will take over. Of course medical and ammo supplies are planned further out than a year.

I've just recently got involved in the planning phase. Never payed much attention to all the crap goin on till I had kids and now I'm scared shitless of the future. 1st thing I did was buy an ak47 (most rugged, dependable and easiest gun to work on). I have a woodsy background and know how to make livable shelters and survive but would love to meet others.

We need to get a few preppers together for brainstorming. The friends that "prep" only think a gun and bunch of ammo will do. I'm tryin to take it to another level and get some like minds together to practice building shelters, starting fires, purifying water, and so on. 2 minds are always better than 1
