And just ask for a refill on your drink, you'll pay for it. These are the most tight assed people I've ever seen. Every dish, every action, every way things are done at this place is to maximize profits. They also treat some of the help like they're sub-human. I'm really surprised this joint has done as well as it has. There food is no better than most chains. Refills on drinks have been free for a while

Spaghetti is cheap and easy to prepare I wouldn't order it when eating out. About $12 to serve it to my family of 5, and it's good too.

I think perhaps people relate jims to happy times and love it for the memories..bc it is in no way "the best restaurant" it was not that way years ago

If people think Jim's is the best place they have eaten at must not get out much. We are talking about spaghetti. The easiest and cheapest food to make. Also, checked our local produce wholesalers, you can get a 25 pound box for $40. I bought a case the other day for a family reunion tomorrow.

They've owned a very successful business for around 70yrs. You topix losers can go eat elsewhere. You could drop an atomic bomb on that place and people would sift through the rubble just to get some of their amazing spaghetti. Yum yum.

My own sauce is better. 1 lb hamburger 1lb ground italian sausage 2 jars of prego/ragu 2 T. Splenda or more if u want it sweeter. 1t each oregano basil thyme rosemary garlic, onion powder 1/2 cup parmesan cheese Salt to your taste. And red pepper flakes. Add a couple bay leaves if u got em. Dash of worcheshire or however its spelled. Now put it all together in pot and cook it. Do not brown meat first. Just slam it all together and cook it off. Its great everybody likes my spaghetti. And cheap to make. U can use plain tomato sauce if u like instead of prego. although its not famous its good. Jims is too bland for my taste. I like spices and lots of em.

Name another place that's become a timeless iconic place in htg such as Jim's. People don't care about quality. Look at Stewarts. Those dogs are not really that good, but the branding and saturation into the local market makes it a landmark. Ya gotta respect the life of work that has been put into such a historic place even you can make better spaghetti. It doesn't tale a genious to make sause. It does take one to keep a successfull restaurant open for that many years. Jim's legacy will not be forgotten.

Are you saying that people just felt sorry for Jim and ate there to help him make money even if the food was awful ? I guess that's a nice thing to do but I don't have money like that just to waste on eating out knowing I will come home sick or stop off and get something at a drive thru. You probably think Golden Coral is 5 star dining.

Il take my sauce I make at home any day over Jim's. The only reason they are still in Business is because people think of it as a landmark. & old people don't have to Chew it. Gross period
