Listen, I know a bunch of those guys. I like em'. They have worked for me for years in the Kanawha Valley. I trust the ones I know and they always gave me a day's work for a day's pay. Right Pappa Duck.

Unless you were the night of the incident, your opinion means jack shit to me. I don't care what charities and events they have done for people. It still doesn't give them the right to do the bad things they do....plain and simple. I saw what happened with my own eyes. There was in fact a few witnesses so once again, if you were not there, move on!

And I am sure there are good ones but I am NOT the one giving them a bad name. The bad ones give the Avengers a BAD NAME! The probates are the ones responsible for a lot of things that have happened in Skybox at bike night and that is a fact. They are the reason I no longer work there.

I am also the daughter of an Avenger who was with the club in the 70s and 80s. I grew up surrounded by avengers and felt blessed every moment of it. As a young girl every one of them always had a smile on their face for me and went out of their way to make me feel loved by all of them. I hate when people maybe have a bad experience with one guy who rides a bike then in turn judge all other bikers. There's good and bad in all groups of different people. We all need to learn to be a little less close minded.

seems to me some people that post things about the avengers m c don't have a clue wtf they are talking about. yes i am a avengers m c member and have been for the last 15 years. durning that time i haven't seen or heard of a member selling drugs or running guns. sure we party hard but we don't bother anybody unless the chit is started with us. we don't start trouble but we refuse to run from throuble. we are avengers 100% of the time. we are proud of our club, you have no idea how many men have probrated for membership and failed because they didn't meet club standards. next time you want to run your pie hole about us come to the clubhouse and tell us face to face, that is if you have the balls to do so.

Ohhhh yeah then that totally gives the avengers the right to beat him up then. I was there that night as well and Pete did nothing to deserve what he got? So you are saying he did not get a black eye? This is ridiculous! There are so many witnesses to that evening and you are pathetic! However, for the record, it was not necessarily the avengers but it was 2 probates. The president of the avengers even said he did think it was right for Pete to get hit like that but it DID happen so please do not say it did not!

I meant that the president said it was NOT right for Pete to get hit! He said he had nothing to do with it and I believe him.

I went to Chillicothe Bike Rodeo this year, and had the chance to meet these guys. I hung out around the club's area for a little bit. One of the guys offered me free beer, just because he was being hospitable. These guys aren't the rude, nasty, kick-your-ass-for-no-reason guys people make them out to be. One of them even invited me to the Avenger's clubhouse in Huntington sometime; I'm probably gonna take him up on his offer, too, just because of the great time I had hanging out with these guys. So, before you run your mouth about something you don't have a clue about. We're not in europe in the middle of the The Great Nordic Biker War. This is a legitimate motorcycle club, having members who are Harley enthusiasts, and hold legitimate jobs. Not some renegade drug smuggling, gun running, crime syndicate like you see in movies.

Think about how they are portraying themselves to the public. They know what the general public thinks of when they hear about a motorcycle gang. They choose to portray that image so whose fault is it really?

Do they really need to be an organized club just to be "Harley enthusiasts"?

Come on now. They are portraying an image and they know exactly what they are doing.

They have no right to complain when people judge them by the image they are purposefully portraying.

If they want to act like a tough biker gang, they will be judged by the public as a biker gang.

It is that simple.

@ withallduerespect: Obviously, you dont understand. They portray who they are.... it is John Q. Public who assumes the worst. Oh... and I can assure you, this is no 'act'.

@livedinwv: mike forbush is dead, from what i understand.

Sorry to inform you all but that is a true story. The man went outside to smoke and they told him to go back inside. He said he just wanted to smoke and they jumped on him, several of them.
Dont believe me? Go ask ANY of the bartenders or Julian the owner himself. It was kept very hush and they are now banned.

No, apparently YOU don't understand.

They KNOW how the public views them and they choose to portray that image.

If they choose to portray that image they have no right to whine when the public assumes they are thugs.

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck, it must be a duck.

I laugh at you guys who get on here and tell people that they "don't know the avengers". Just because you had a beer with them at the rodeo or your dad was an avenger or whatever little tie you had or think you had with them, you only know what they want you to know about them. I was in a local outlaw mc for a long time up until several years ago, I do know a little about the other clubs in the area. I can tell you a lot about them, but I won't. What I will tell you is this: most of the avengers work, most have families, most don't do anything too illegal. Just like with any outlaw club, the general public and even their family and friends only know what they let you know. Most of their members don't know everything that the club is involved in.

Remember, whenever you watch gangland and see these outlaw clubs being busted there was friends, neighbors, and family that thought the club was just about riding motorcycles and having fun. If their illegal activities were in the open they wouldn't last long. So just because you don't think they are "bad guys", that doesn't mean all of them aren't.

I have never claimed thaty dad was perfect only on my eyes! But what I can tell u is that there are so many goods that out weigh the bad! I hate the stigma that these guys are put under. I did have the chance to meet some of the newer members and I can tell you they are nothing like they used to be! If my father and his fellow club members were alive these guys wouldn't be a member! They were very rude and acted as if they owned
the world! I hope the persidents of their
chapters get a hold on them soon or they will Continue to get a bad rap! I can't belive they would let these guys b part of what was such a wonderful group of people but I guess even the young guys need a chance just hope they shape up or get out soon!
