huntington is a terrible place to live

I honestly despise just about everything in Huntington anymore with the exception of China Garden. From every outdoor activity that the thugs and the white trash ruin to the shitball houses and neighborhoods. Marshall university is a joke when it comes to tuition costs. Who do they think they are? The nightclubs use to be fun and now they are just a haven for drugs and violence. Drugs have decimated this town and in turn brought the out of town trash. Not to mention the poll about this place being #2 for the worst place to live and top 5 in obesity. I'm so glad I don't live there anymore and would never raise my children there.

You don't live there anymore yet you still are getting on a lame website to complain about it? Weirdo. If you moved elsewhere, why do you care enough to post about it? Either A) it is a troll post; you're trying to piss people off and start arguments or B) you're living in another town, bored off you a*s because there isn't anything to do and just simply can't get Huntington off of your mind.
Since you don't live here any longer, you actually don't know that the town is much better than it ever has been. New restaurants (that are actually very good and classy), new schools (public schools, the new pharmacy school, amongst others, at MU, MCTC has a brand new campus, MU has nice new buildings for different sports activities, the new rec center, the new children's hospital at Cabell Huntington, Huntington Mall was totally remodeled, many new nice apartment complexes around MU's campus, lots of nice camps for children to go to during the summer, Pullman Plaza continues to grow, etc etc.
I grew up here and can definitely say that Huntington is better now. Surely you can find something better to do with your time, other than post on topix, in that wonderful new town of yours.

WOW!Obviously the poster hasn't been to many cities. As someone who travels extensively, over 85K air miles a year, I can say that Huntington has some wonderful qualities and that all cities have warts - thats for darn sure.
If you want to talk about crap holes - talk about Charleston, Detroit, St. Louis - those placers are truly in tough shape, crime wise, economically, etc.
I've also worked with many professionals who attended schools all over the world including Harvard. The Harvard grad I worked with years ago had great ideas but was clueless how to put them into action or interact with people.
I'd put my degree from Marshall up against anyone. Its what you do with it!

Yeah go out to eat at an overpriced restaurant and the food sucks. Then on your way out the bums ask you for money. Hopefully your car window is intact when u get back bc some pill junkie needed 3 dollars in change.
