This is my first time writing on this site but it was brought to my attention that crossroads was on here. My child attends crossroads and has for some time now. I've always heard amazing things about this facility and I really like it. Especially after seeing and experiencing other places. There is one SOLID FACT, Pam has no business being in direct contact with these children. My brow has been raised on multiple occasions, with me witnessing first hand her being nose to nose with a child, screaming! I couldn't help but speak up immediately. The others tried to cover for her by saying things about the child, which further infuriated me. Excuses were made. So far, no incidents have been brought up with my child directly, but I am being completely honest that not only have I been livid in what Ive witnessed but also the employees have expressed her behavior to me as well. No one wants to cross her. Parents have complained but noone wants repercussions for their children and overall, the rest of the program is excellent. I have excellent communication with the other caretakers. I've had parents tell me how their children are scared too death of Miss Pam and how they hate it when she is around them. She is irrational, has no respect for other parents and their privacy and is just plain mean. I don't understand why people like this are in the business of childcare and why counciling hasn't been mandatory for this woman. Children do have to have a different and firm form of discipline in that setting but this woman is dangerous in my opinion. If I knew the proper steps to take and how to get the other parents on board, without fearing for my child's safety or losing his spot in this otherwise wonderful program, I would definitely take action. At the first complaint from my child directly, I will most certainly persue legal action. To the people who are defending her, or have not witnessed this horrible incidents, I am truly grateful that you had a good experience there. It really is a nice facility and with care. The problem is the director. I'm not a disgruntled worker, not do I have any idea who her husband is. I'm simply a parent who has witnessed and been told by many parents and staff of this behavior. This is probably the only beneficial thing from a website like this bc it's for the protection of other children. Good luck to the new comers.

I have never witnessed anything when I drop him off or pick him up its usually pretty quiet and everyone is friendly with me. The owner even has kept my son after close when I didn't have anyone to pick him up since I don't get off until 630 amd they close at 6. Which was a real blessing.

I've had two kids at this daycare and both were very happy with it and do was I. I personally know several parents and kids that have attended here and they were happy with it. Pam might be a little tough but she has to make sure the daycare is ran correctly. It's a great place....no worries...!!!

I have to say I am very picky on who keeps my twins. Both my girls loved going there. They never complained about being yelled at or mistreated I would recommend them to anyone.

To "I Know ", No staff at the Daycare you are referring to has ever mis-treated any of the babies, or any child for that matter. Babies are not in an area where there is hardwood, they are in a room that has carpeting, the other rooms have child themed area rugs, for the exception of the Lunch room area and the Hallway. I indeed would consider myself lucky if someone stayed after hours to keep my child until I got there...because like most jobs, when its time for someone to leave work, that is usually what they like to do, I would suggest if you are not happy, then may I suggest the after-school program at B'ville Elementary!

I never said I wasn't happy. Did I? No. Just that I was disturbed by what my child was telling me. Pms? Well I got pmdd so don't start running your trap on me. Thanks for your smart aleck reply and useless advice. I just didn't know if I should talk to anyone about what my child said to me or not. Thats all. And he doesn't stay late anymore and yes I am very aware when its time to go u want to go so I made arrangements asap for a trusted adult to pick him up for me. And I greatly appreciate the owner helping me in that way this is why I haven't said anything about what he told me until now. Its been at least two months ago and it just disturbs me.
