Please support the small rate increase of $3 to $5 monthly on your AEP bill, to help Century Aluminum open its plant back up in Ravenswood WV.
Century Aluminum needs your help to pay its power bills so they can reopen their plant.
AEP can't reduce the cost for electric for Century Aluminum because it would be fiscally irresponsible to their shareholders and if they did this, it might set a precedent and cause AEP to go bankrupt.
Causing loss of AEP jobs, coal mining jobs, other mining and unrelated jobs and most of all the loss of electricity. I don't want to hear about small children and the elderly dieing of heat strokes in the Summer or about them freezing in the Winter, because West Virginians were to stingy to pay a small amount extra on their bill to open this plant.

I'm asking you as a West Virginia citizen, AEP Family customer, a taxpayer or whatever, take that hit and let's get that plant open and let's join hands and stand together and watch that (plant) parking lot fill back up with workers.

Why should anyone pay for it, except them? AEP customers are not a charity, for cripes sake. We pay our bills, and no one should expect us to pay their bill as well. Just ridiculous.

Besides, if they can't even afford to pay their electric bill, they can't afford to pay employees either.

If they can't afford their electric bill how are they going to be able to afford to stay open? I'm all for good union jobs coming to the area but this seems a little shady, like they're going to come in, run the guts out of the place for a short time, make all they can and file bankruptcy. That wouldn't be good for the employees or those of us that footed their electric bill.

From what I remember of the workers at Century, they were on strike more than they worked, so let them pay it.

When Century closed AEP said they would have to raise everyones electric bill , no if they open they want to raise your bill. AEP gets what they want in W.v.

WOW!! We can turn off our lights and sit in the dark. We can hang clothes out. We can use dimmer swithces. We can take cold showers instead of hot in the winter. We can insulate our houses!!!!!!!!

Why? So we can pay the bill for Century?

Don't think so!

Tired of paying everyone' way. The companies should cut back on what ceo makes. The welfare people should raise their own kids. The working class can't and shouldn't do it all!!
