Why don't you all do something more productive with your time like raiding an adult video store. That's what I like to do when I get mad about our national issues. I watch porn. CRY BABIES

I agree with the post 100 percent! I work my ass off and get taxed to pay lazy people's benefits! Don't get me wrong, I do believe some need the help. But I know tons of people that sit on their asses living off welfare, driving better cars than me! Lol what a joke

For one, I'm a single hard working mother of 2, yes, I do get assistance only because their dad doesn't give ANY kind of support. It is a huge help to get that assistance!! Trust me, I had to suck up my pride to even go apply. As far as the giant refund checks, the more you make the more you get back....& I use all of that to pay bills, home improvement, take my kids on vacation & make sure they have money put back for their college. So...please take into consideration the mothers who do work hard & have just been a victim to a ridiculous divorce & not being in the best area to be "prosperous". Not all "good" employers are kid friendly, they don't understand if you have a sick child or if their is a 2 hour delay in school, you are still required to be @ work, so some of us have to settle for a less paying job to get a break. That is a very close minded statement & its very offending to people like myself.
So we also get to pay for yor vacations and send your kids to college while half of us can not afford to do even that but yet you feel you have the right because you're on assistance that you need to use this money to take your kids and do things for them that the common person probably can't do because we're too busy paying taxes to pay for your kids college and your vacations.. your half the problem with this country

Why does anyone have to give you assistance for your person bad choices in a man? When you marry a person that does not turn out to be what you thought they might it IS YOUR CHILDRENS life. That is the Father you chose for them. Why do I have to pick up the tab? If he made Billions would you be sending me a check?
Your choices are your consequences - why does everyone else have to pay for your mistakes? You had kids - YOU, not me. I have kids 3 but I pay for all of them ; )
So green about everyone else that made good choices you scream foul - no fair. When really those were all your choices.
Judge Judy would tell you that's your problem-you shouldn't have chose him to Father your children. You didn't know how he was going to turn out yadi yah - but it was still your choice you deal with your choice, not US.

Pages and pages of bashing the poor, claiming they leech all your tax dollars. Meanwhile, the rich and multinational corporations are REALLY taking all your money in huge tax breaks and paying damn near nothing into the system! But hey, they got you pitted against the poor, they did their job, right?

Well said, this is so true. People are mad about giving their taxes up period, they want to keep their hard earned money, but they should be more irrate that the already wealthy people also get more then what they pay into as well. Once you make more then that certain high bracket, the money is endless. Yes, they may owe AT THE END OF THE YEAR, but during the year corporate business and the wealthy suck every dime they can from the economy. Why do they get so many breaks, but the average person cannot?

I think taxes should be the same nationwide for every person no matter how much you make or don't make, it should be a set amount and you pay it each month like a bill. So everyone should get the same back each tax year, unless you havent paid your bill like you are suppose to (no credits for anyone). The Governent needs to find another way to support the poor other then through taking taxes from the working mans check, maybe by using an account for donations each year and dividing it equally to those that really need it, of course it would have to be done month by month or something. That's just an example, point is they should figure out another way, a better way for everyone.

It's much easier to just have tax deductions. The rich just need to pay their fair share and pay a percentage of taxes that is equivalent to what everyone else pays, not pay the same dollar amount but pay the comparable amount and maybe more when times get tough. We all need to understand that a social contract exists that keeps everyone's best interests in mind. You do not get to be rich and successful without utilizing the goods and services that everyone else has established and contributed to. We have so much wealth in our country that there is no reason that any child should ever miss a meal or that any family should ever have to worry about falling into poverty. There is simply no excuse for it.

I feel the exact same way! Why am I being penalized for not having kids because I can't afford to but a person with a house full of kids gets all the help in world and large refunds back but hasn't paid nearly as much taxes as I have?!?! It's a set up... They want you to live off the government but then again that money doesn't last forever so you'll be crying broke all year except for the the month of February. Most people that get the large refunds back blow that money anyway. Then to mention get food stamps, low income, Medicare and everything else. IF THEY ARE GETTING ALL THIS HELP EVERYDAY WHY SHOULD THEY GET A REFUND?! Also, everyone on government assistance needs to be drug tested point blank period!!!! IM SO ANGRY WITH THE SYSTEM IT ISNT FAIR TO THOSE WHO WORK HARD EVERYDAY AND DONT HAVE KIDS TO SUPPORT A PERSON WHO KEEPS POPPING OUT BABIES LEFT AND RIGHT BUT CANT AFFORD THEM.

I made 48000 last year and my wife made 14. No kids. We paid over 7000 in federal tax alone and were only due to get 1200 back until I added her tuition form. 1200 goes to 3800.

Only way to get money back is to have kids or go to school it seems

So we are embarrassing ourselves because we work hard and get help from no one but ourselves? That's embarrassing?
Dont get me wrong if someone was handing me free money it'd be hard not to take it. But in my opinion you look ignorant by not understanding both points of view. Maybe you are the narrow-minded one I have said multiple times I can be openmindes and understanding of your current situation.
I'm a firm believer that no child deserves to suffer due to their parents lack of finances. You seem to be missing the point... I think it's ridiculous that individuals who SIT ON THEIR ASS and use my hardworking money to do whatever they please ALSO get back a higher refund than myself.
I am an extremely giving person and don't mind helping an innocent child who can't work themselves that's understandable. But since I worked hard and helped all year would it not make more sense to give ME back the larger refund.
As for what I spend my refund on is MY business. I WORKED for it.
I totally agree ^^^^^

I know everyone needs help but it's crazy just for exampleI 28000 this year and got back 1400 back on taxes. How is it my brother made 9000 for the year has 2 kids and is going to 8500 back seems like im paying for that so your telling me his spending everything on the kids don't think so I like helping others but don't like handing anyone with a kid my money
