Someone posted this on the Barboursville Forum and I was not able to find it. I am writing a history of HEHS football and would like to see this. If you posted this please do so again & I will keep looking for it. I have some ideas of my own but as of now my history only goes up to 1965.

Man, I don't know who they were but whoever was on that 1992 team sure was good.

Good luck.

with Coach Holbrook. He can talk about a lot of teams. The best guys on that 92 team were probably Mark Zban (QB) and Mike Rikman (junior LB), but there were a lot of good players on that team. I actually have a lot of game film from that season.

If I have to come up with an all-time starting backfield from 1940-1965 here it is:
Chasey Wilson- 20 TDs in 1941
Johnny Frye- Kennedy Award winner, 117 points, 17 TDs in 1956, 33 TDs total in 3 years
Jim "Shorty" Moss- 12 TDs as a sr.- played at WVU
Steve Grant- 13 TDs 1962, 10 in '61, played behind Jim Nance & Floyd Little at Syracuse
Frye would play QB because he did play a little but mostly at HB.
If I need a true QB it would be Joe Dawson- as a sr. 7 rushing TDs, 5 passing. In 8 games (no stats for 2 of them) he passed 54/91 for 610 yards.
