Did i say beat? Does an ass spanking constitute a beating? OH MY GOD!
Woman, i worked with delinquents for 20 yrs that would have chewed your passive ass up and spit it out. You dont know nothing but dealing with your little darlings. Not all people are darlings. I've seen kids come from wealthy, well disciplined families that tried everything your by the book dr spock psycology bullshit had to offer.
Well, if they would have followed the old school approach it would have been a far different story. Like i said in an earlier post, people like you that believes in such crap have been proven wrong. Ever since your approach has been used, would you say todays youth are better behaved? Are they more respectful than the earlier generation? Are they scoring better overall in test scores at school than the earlier generation? Do they have a better work ethic? Are they the me generation or the we generation? Is drugs more rampant today? Is teen sex more prevalent today? Im not talking about yours, im talking about overall. So dont preach about something you havent experienced just because you got lucky with your own kids. Social scientists took control away from the parents and you see the results today. I put the fear of retribution in my kids at an early age, i spanked them twice. Thats all it took. From then on, i only had to give them the look and they conformed. And as far as the memory bank, you might be right, i've forgotten more than you've ever known.

As far as im concerned its not called spying, its called parenting. And if social scientists had their way you wouldnt have any parental rights. They've taken the belt or switch away from parents and you see the results of this generation. They call it abuse. Bullshit! They teach your children they dont have to divulge any info to you and can turn to the system for an abortion, condoms, birth control, sexual preference, report any spankings, etc. Well, you've seen the results of our nation ever since liberals have gained the upper hand as far as social issues.

If you knuckle dragging mouth breathing low brow troglodyte trailer monkeys did a good enough job teaching your children right from wrong you wouldn't have to invade their privacy and treat them like inmates to make up for your gross unjustifiable lack of parental skills you stinking gorillas. Then you wouldn't have to waste calories you undoubtedly absorbed from ingesting greasy mcgarbage trying to create feeble weak rationalizations for your primitive behaviour in the fetid mounds of lard inside your thick skulls that in your ignorance you dare to have the audacity to call a brain. You could instead put that potential chemical energy to use on not being a colossal failure of a parent. Bet you didn't think about that did you, you conceited brain damaged grease slurping mountain monkies.
Why all the childish name calling? Don't you see it says more about you than them? You don't even know these people. A person that cant make their point without insults probably doesn't have a strong point.

You blithering ninny. Elaborate to us the premise you've surmised that supports your conclusion that vehemently mocking some ones intellect detracts from the veracity of the statement they are making. I could call some one a pig f*cker who believes the world is flat and say its round and I'd still be correct. In fact, I'm always correct. You didn't personally know Hitler, so you are unfit to make judgments of his actions. I for one believe he should have finished art school. Hey you know what, none of us know eachother, so don't question my methods. As you say I shouldn't do so to others.

The misguided notion that I need to know some one to know they are a slobbering invalid is garbage.

should parents spy on their kids? Yes, in the good ol' USA but in the present USSA we leave it up to the kids and government to spy on parents. That's REAL socialism, communism and Nazism and if you are going to be something, be REAL!!!

You halfwit lowbrow uneducated ape. Your children aren't spying on you, seeing as how if they inherited your lack of mental aptitude they'd still be in diapers into their 30's. Domestic surveillance on this scale isn't advocated by any of those political ideologies, infact this level of spying is a uniquely an american precedent. Don't conflate police state authoritarianism with political philosophies your minute amount of brain matter is incapable of fathoming. You probably don't even have an iota of knowledge of the socio-economic underpinnings any of those ideologies are based off of, only inaccurate misconceptions you've been force fed by those too intellectually bankrupt and lazy to actually address real premises; so they've purposely conflated them with past authoritarian regimes who've exploited them for personal gain, all while keeping you under the impression capitalism is exempt from such misuse. That you believe this has any impact on an ideology's merit is a profound indication that you do as little thinking as possible. You should be glad your government cares enough to spy on you so you don't drown yourself in the toilet bobbing for turds.

I'm in my mid 20s and my parents made my life a living hell. Snooping into everything...it made a good kid who wouldn't have gotten into much trouble into a sneaky liar. I did what I wanted and never once got caught...which probably lead me into more trouble than if my parents had set reasonable boundaries and allowed me to grow up a little. I still never got into any trouble but I ended up doing more because of my parents snooping and over-protectiveness than if they had calmed down a bit.

But in no way did my bad teenage choices harm my life, I had a great time. Move out of my parents house asap graduated college and married a great man.
In fact I think I'm a lot better off in the wisdom department than if I had followed the rules, I shudder to think how naive and vulnerable I would've been if my parents had, had their way.

It's all about open-communication, relationship, and trust. Trust, trust, trust. If a parent / parents have a true trusting relationship with their child / children and are taught at a young age they can and should come / go to them no matter what, or how bad the situation is.

No spying would ever be necessary.

Do children living at home have any privacy rights? At what age is too old for parents to snoop?
I would like for you to quit taking up for your friends when they post nasty stuff and delete others who don't say nasty things. Maybe it is time for you to step down from your position of a mod.

As the old adage goes WHEN GOOD MEN DO NOTHING EVIL PREVAILS. Same should apply to child rearing. It human nature to gravitate toward temptation so to speak. Letting a child know your apt to pry for the sake of their own good will keep them honest and on their guard and best behavior. As a parent dont use as an excuse THEIR RIGHTS TO PRIVACY , this is just an excuse to be lazy, selfishly being wrapped up in your own little world of work, love life, circle of socializing friends, etc. Get off your high horse and do your damn job and quit using the so called american constitutional freedom of rights when it comes to children. They have no rights except food, shelter, free from abuse, education, etc. If these liberal social scientists had their way the children could incarcerate the parents everytime they were told NO for abusing their civil rights.LOL
