AEP was granted an 11% increases but how much did your bill actually go up? It seems many are claiming a lot more than 11%. Does AEP deserve the rate increase?

I dont know how much it actually went up as I am on budget but I have a 1300 sq foot house we are not home for bout 10 hrs a day and they said I used $320 in one month this is ridiculous I think I am gonna have to look into a solar electric system or something.

I have a 3000 Sq Ft 3 story home, and my Electric runs me on my budget $150 a month. I have gas heat though. That runs me around $350-400 a month in winter months.

I guess things are much better since Obama is the president. Can you imagine if Cap and Trade pass. The bill will go to $ 1,000.00 dollars a month or more.

Not to appear stupid or anything, but what exactly is the cap and trade thing? my AEP bill is already way tooo much and i have gas heat and water tank. I think the government should put a freeze on any utilities getting an increase. These people not working and losing jobs and the elderly not being able to afford medicine.... where in the heck do they think we are going to pull this money from, our back side??????????

Terrible how everything in this state is getting way out of control. The utilities in this state are so much higher than other states ...i have relatives all over the country and their utilities are no way as high as this state.

Hey Whiners, won't you turn your heat down, keep it on 60 if you have to, get another job, get a small house, stop having children you can't afford, do whatever, but stop griping about it, no one cares! Your bills will continue to rise, everything will; except for your incomes of course. My advice would be to figure something out fast, but whining and crying on this board will do you no good. Good Luck.

Mine went from $180 last month to over $300. I asked them about it and they gave me the run around.
