FYI: it is the responsibility of the dog owner to pay for any damages to the vehicle......think about that before you go looking for some one......

If I hit the dog I'd carry its lifeless body to its owners house and smile while I called the police to fill out the report...

I can't believe people let their dogs roam free right so close to a well-traveled road. In my opinion, if you don't care enough about your pet- oh wait, "family member"- to be concerned about it's location when it's outside, then it's the owner's fault if it gets hit by a car. Of course I feel sorry for the family, but what did you really expect?

There is a leash law. Keep your dog on a leash or in a fenced yard. It is not a drivers fault when a dog runs out ib front of them so before you open your pie hole and spout think about the citation you will recieve when you make a report. Be a responsible pet owner and take care of your pets and if one happens to get hit by a car, dont blame the driver dumazz!

There is no leash law outside of the city limits. But I agree if you cared about your pet you still wouldn't allow it to roam free.

Please cite the leash law that applies to the area around SVHS. I'll wait.

If the owner cared about the dog, it wouldn't be playing in traffic in the first place. No need to go asking for trouble on top of it.

This is the most pathetic, moronic thread anyone has started. Do you people expect someone to swerve into oncoming traffic or over a hill and possibly hurt or kill themselves or innocent people (maybe there were dhildren in the vehicle) all because an uncaring pet owner let their animal run loose?

Actually, there is a leash law outside of the city limits, and you can get cited for it. It's the whole state of WV that has a leash law...
