completely agree. Are they the ones with the guy saying "I'm the man, I'm the man, I'm the truck-truck-truck man?"

Ugggghhhh, I cannot stand that guy and I wouldn't spend a nickel with them JUST because of the commercials. And the junk mail they send? Tons of it, with little fake keys and crap...so much waste and annoyance.:(

I just seriously don't want all that damn junk mail.

I even called once and politely asked them to remove my name from their list and they acted like fools and refused.

Seriously...just try an experiment...call Dutch Miller and politely ask to have your name removed from their mailing list. Just listen to the ridiculous line of BS they'll give you. It's just wasteful and stupid.

My gosh, even emailers will have a button to click "want to opt out of our email? Click here and we'll stop wasting your time!" And email isn't killing trees.

Call'em and try it. See what you get.:)

they dont have your name on a list. they hire direct mail companies who mainly target people WITH CREDIT PROBLEMS (perhaps you??). you need to opt out of junk mail. you can find instructions online. if you do though, you wont be getting all those BAD CREDIT offers you probably normally do.

Look, you've got a point about opting out of junk mail. It's a sad, weak, dick move to say that I have bad credit. I don't, but that's not the point, and you know it.

You are one of two things...you actually are an employee or one the owners of Dutch Miller...in which case you're only harming your own business by saying things like this...

OR you are trying to hurt their business by giving the APPEARANCE of being connected with their company. Trust me, they don't need your help...they're obnoxious enough on tv.

I run a local business. If one of my customers were to call and say "I no longer wish to receive your mailings" I would either politely give them instructions on how to have their name removed...or more likely, do it for them, as I want to keep good feelings.

But that situation will never happen, because I don't pointlessly pollute by blanketing the tristate with heavily coated cardstock, 9 colors of ink (the refuse of which pollutes streams) and a million little keys made of what appear to be LEAD hot glued to a bunch of postcards. Dutch Miller CHOOSES to do that. THEY are the ones who pay the graphic design team to create such over the top mailers. The business that is paying for the advertising has the final say...not the direct mail company.

I saw the guy with his family at a retail store once...nice family. But, his sons were straying from he and his wife a little, and he kept calling them by their first and last name, as if to remind everyone around that he's THAT miller, yes...THE Miller family of Dutch Miller Fame. Poor schmuck just doesn't get it.

hee hee...I know. I've seen them doing that for years. The "Truck Man" guy was, I'm pretty sure, on the commercials when he was a kid and he would just scream his lines unintelligibly, and he acted just like those kids do now.

I seriously don't begrudge anyone success, more power to'em....but they do act awfully silly. That's "new money" for you.

I think the commercials are entertaining. If they did not work, I doubt they would keep running them.

Dutch Miller is a great supporter of Marshall U & for that I appreciate them. However, their commercials are terrible & annoying. I do laugh at them from time to time. The worst though is the dudes face on the back of the Huntington city busses. Made my son cry.

Jealous of what? So because people think some commercials suck it's only because they are jealous? I think McDonalds commercials suck with their "Just lovin it" adds. So I guess I'm jealous of Ronald McDonald?
