You're right. You also have to have a good filter as there's a lot of noise online.

Agree.
Huntington and it's burroughs is a I uess you'd say it's ecollectic little place. Sounds strange, but Huntington's streets & the way it runs east - west - south north - is laid out like NYC Manhatten, it really is. My father lived and worked in Manhatten and told me this when I was a young girl and as I became older I researched this and it's true.
Cheers.

Wow most all of those buildings are vacant. Definitely wouldn't call this progression.

It would be nice for the once vacant to be turned into something great for the city of Huntington. It's up to us to make the change.

Thats not going to happen. Too many out-of-state investors ghost-rent or buy properties and use the high vacancy rate/poor business performance of Huntington as credible evidence of loss. Problem is, the types of people who are investing are not exactly "boy scouts". So the few powerful slumlords that exist in town, which own the bulk of the spaces, are not going to be lobbying the city anytime soon to change the constrictive tax and fee policies that deter a lot of outside interest. What little interest there has been in the city has happened on the outskirts, like Kinetic park, or in B-ville.
