I have no idea. I just stumbled into this thread a few days ago. Huntington is really different than LA.

You've got restaurants with questionable hygiene. Meth houses blowing up. Crime accommodated by a slew of pawn shops. And an elite group egging on the God of the Old Testament to get his Rambo on and seek retribution on disparate groups of people. All in all, Huntington sounds like a really neat place--the sense of humor alone is great. I'm loathe to find out where it is, because it's developed a bit of a mystique in my mind and I don't want to ruin it. I am going to try and visit and frequent all the places I've been reading about--assuming they don't blow up.

Almost certainly yes; however, things are more neighborhood-dependent.

I like Huntington. It seems to have really decent people. Just like the daily news, things like Topix tend to attract the extremes, which distorts reality. N when you see past that issue, it's an impressive community..

Actually, on Topix - You can find out a lot about a city, because it's word of mouth. Word of mouth tells a lot about a a place, you get more details about person(s), places or things that you wouldn't get by watching/ reading the main news etc. because they aren't going to report it all.

For example driving in a automobile you are going to see a lot of things and places in a city, yet if you were to walk around the same city, you'd see more details.
