U need a man to do this kinda stuff 4 ya. Husband, boyfriend ... ya know, someone who knows how to deal with cars and things of that sort. Leave the man stuff to be handled by a man and you won't get taken advantage of.

They used to fix my grandma's flats for free. That sold me. Eddie is a very nice guy, just wish he didn't smoke so he could enjoy his life better later on.

They didn't refund my money. They offered to refund my money if I brought my car back in and let them put "my" old part back on. Which I would have no way of knowing if they put mine or someone else's back on or what they would be doing to my car once they got it out of my sight.
Any which way you go about it it was completely unprofessional of them to touch things on my car and change them without asking me first, even if they wouldn't have charged me I would've been upset, but knowing that they changed something and then charged me like $50 to do so without me asking or even being informed? No.

They are good people and don't screw people over. Eddy is a good guy. He used to patch my grand mother's tires for free when she would get a flat. I get my tires from him and always satisfied. Plus, it's a family business and it's good to support your community.

Been going there for several years. They have always treated me and others fair and Eddie does one heck of a job for everything he has going on. If you have a question, ask nice and they will treat you the same way as you ASK!!! If you act like a bit--, then you may get it back. They do a great job and are upfront business.

Just have to say that I've had no problem with them. In fact, when I get a car aligned that's the only place I go. I prefer the guy that's worked there for years to do the job, just can't remember his name.

Once I even had a a couple of inner tie rods bad on a vehicle that I didn't know of. They called me back, and he explained what was wrong, and why it wouldn't be fair of them to take my money for something that couldn't be aligned properly. I thanked him and told him I'd install them myself. He asked me if I'd done that particular job before, and I honestly told him no. He then explained that inner tie rods need a dab of lock tight on the threads when installed for alignment purposes, for the proper toe in or out adjustments. And he was nice enough to give me a small partially used tube of the lock tight (even though I never asked for it) to get the job done.

That's good service, above and beyond. Eddie has always been very helpful also every time I've went in and needed to deal with him, which is almost never.

Good people, and good service from what I've seen.

I find this odd as well, of changing your air filter without asking. Usually the desk asks you when you pay, if they find any additional problems such as that or wipers on an oil change do want them to change it or not. Usually my answer is no, because that stuff I prefer to do myself (for cheaper reasons). I just don't always want to crawl under my car and change the oil and do the necessary lubing. So I'd say possibly the desk clerk may have dropped the ball on this particular incident, if you weren't asked. You may have caught them at a bad time, as busy as they usually are.

When they offered to refund your money, that was a good gesture in my opinion, and doubt you would have any problems at all. They probably would have blown some of dirt out of your old air filter with a air wand and reinstalled it as promised. Unless possibly you were unusually nasty in your protests, possibly.

But when another poster told you man can take care of this for you, it's been my experience, that's more than likely true. Unless they know totally nothing about cars. In comparison, there are some women that do know about cars.

Just wish my better half did. There has been a couple of instances when I told her to stop for a oil change or tire change (elsewhere than River Cities because she works out of town)...that she got taken advantage of. And she happily agrees to it, because "It's just money after all". Which usually leads me to visit the place and speaking to the manager at those establishments, and explaining to them the thousand different ways they suck, in very clear descriptions.

My eyes may not be what they used to be, and your picture is kind fuzzy. But from what I can see in the picture, you look like you'd shine pretty good when cleaned up, AmberDawnM.Get yourself a good man, so you can keep your blood pressure at a reasonable level when dealing with these things. I know a couple of punks...( er,I meant good men)at work, that need a woman to help them see the err of there ways.

New at the matchmaker thing , but I'll give whirl, If you're game ;).

yea, they had my bill jacked up high too and wasn't thrilled w/ my explanation... he guaranteed me one price, but said he couldn't help the office charged other stuff... really? cause maybe you should have told me that was a possibility... he did offer to take $ off some tires that I need tho, so Im going to let him put them on, but will probably be looking elsewhere when I need something in the future

Well lets see. U were eatimg with your family. Did u leave a contact number since you were leaving the car? How old was your existing filter? You dont 99want it back. Thats ignorant. They are so friggin busy they really dont need to cheat people. U probably needed one. Finally....um...u didnt look at the bill until after you left. Whose fault is that. Your kids being at a sitter is not an excuse. U could have spent 5 minutes less EATING OUT and you would have had time to pay attention to the more important transaction of the day. U are just a whiner who likes to transfer blame. Start accepting your own shortcomings rather than trashing others and you might have a less stressful life. Good Luck.

I had "dark" tint on my windows. Went there, bought their tires and had an inspection for sticker. All good. Bought bigger tires 10 mths. later and they put them on. 2 mths. later they refused to inspect my car "because the tint was too dark". SAME TINT. Will never go back, been 5 years.
