Actually, I just read a story in the news recently about someone who died from smoking weed.

I'm not a fan of it, myself, but some people like it. I don't really see why my tax dollars have to fund a war against it. Besides...we're just keeping the drug cartels in business.

I do think anyone receiving welfare or other forms of gov't assistance should be tested, though. There is a huge propensity for people to just sit around doing drugs as opposed to earning a living. Some drug addicts can function in society. Most of the people I've met who do drugs on a regular basis cannot.

The comparrison to alcohol and tobacco isn`t really effective for several reasons.
Besides, society is on propaganda compaign with the whole anti smoking laws, that I`m not so sure if you want to compare something to cigs to try to get support.

I mean you`re litterally trying to gain support for weed while people are waging war agianst fatty foods, and snacks. Mmmm got the munchies right now.

Just a thought.
Anyways, puff puff give.

Once you see someone nearly OD from shooting up an entire joint you'll understand why it's illegal. I've been chasing the potato for decades now and no longer shoot up but instead only take it by suppository.

I've googled your claim about someone passing away from smoking weed... Couldn't find anything. What exactly were you reading when you saw this and how did they die?

Some of the most dysfunctional drug addicts I know are cigarette smokers who can't function without their drug and lose all sense of control unless they stop 10 times a day to smoke. I can google death from cigarettes and can give you a few examples Id guess. A few million.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me/ us know of the "story" you read. NEVER have I or anyone known of such a case. Why are you meeting people that do drugs? Your job? Your living space? Need help or a different group of friends? Maybe, just some friends?

Jesus, people. Don't shoot the messenger here. Wish I could find the news story but I completely forgot where it was. Regardless of whether or not it's unhealthy, I think it should be legal. Heck...I say make crack legal. If your dumb enough to put it in your body, you're dumb enough to do it illegally. Why waste tax dollars on you?

And as far as knowing people who do drugs, you don't have to go far. I have a family member who smoked weed regularly. Now, he's a pill head and can't hold a job. People occasionally get fired from where I work for doing drugs. Mostly weed and/or pills. We get drug tested often, but they do it anyway. A neighbor kid, addicted to drugs, broke into some houses and cars in the neighborhood. If you don't know a druggie, then you don't know the signs I guess, because they're everywhere.
