Sam didn't do this shit. It was the price of shit mom Mary or whatever her name was with her unibrow. All Sammy was guilty of was dating that skank bitch. If he had done it he would have been charged and put in jail. You all are pathetic. If you know Sammy you know he didn't do it.

Something to think about.

You're a moron. If someone is looking at a jail sentence for something they didn't do, especially something this heinous, yes, they're going to get upset and proclaim their innocence. I don't know this man and don't even remember the case in question. Have no opinion one way or the other. But nice try on trying to sound like you know what you're talking about.

Yes they do. Every day. Since you guys are proclaiming this man is trash, I am willing to bet he didn't have a lot of money and had a public defender. Public defenders are notorious for not doing jack for their clients. To be fair, they're extremely overburdened with cases. So, when the prosecutor comes at them with a deal, they pressure the client to take it so they can get rid of their case and on to the other ones. They'll tell the client, "Oh if you don't take this deal then you'll be convicted by a jury of multiple felonies and spend years in prison. Just plead guilty to this lesser charge and go on with your life." Of course, no one wants to argue with their lawyer, and probation for something you didn't do is a lot better than prison for something you didn't do. Prosecutors know how the public defenders work, so they give out shitty deals. Even if they know the person is innocent. Prosecutors will NEVER admit they're wrong, even when they know they are.

I have a hard time believing if this guy beat a child half to death and they had solid evidence to back that up, they'd give him a reduced charge of misdemeanor battery and let him walk free with a piddly year of probation. If I was this child's mother and someone hurt my baby so bad he had a shoe print on his back, I'd be raising hell over such a deal. But, as I said earlier, I don't know this case or the facts of it. Maybe the guy is a rotten piece of shit who beat a child and got off easy.

If it was a one in a million case, it wouldn't happen ALL the time now would it? My sister is a prosecutor (not in this state) and has told me about this. I also have a friend who runs his own practice now, but started out as a public defender and he told me that's how it goes. Dumbass.

So you have a "friend" that was a sh*t public defender that took advantage of the people paying taxes...i.e....his salary. And you sister make it a fact....

Do some research... PEOPLE ONLY PLEAD WHEN THEY KNOW THE EVIDENCE WILL CONVICT...... better then 90% of the time.

Yes, I think speaking to two attorneys and having them verify the same fact is a lot more reliable than your ill-informed opinion. If you want to continue to believe that no person has ever been screwed over by the legal system, go right ahead being ignorant.

i know sammy and his family very very well and his family had already put up over 500k worth of property, money, maxed out credit cards etc... for the PI fees and lawyer fees bc the case was drawn out for 2 yrs. he was then told by his lawyer that he needed to just plea bc it would be drug out for longer and if he just pled then he would have his life back, so he did. the MOTHER had aready filed child abuse on 2 other men before him. it was bad luck that he got with a crazy chick, plain and simple. that child loved him more than he loved his own mother!!!

Where did I EVER say it was the majority? I didn't. I said "it happens all the time." I did not say 99% of guilty pleas are from innocent people." I didn't even say "50% of guilty pleas are from innocent people." I just said that it happens all the time that innocent people WILL take a guilty plea to avoid lengthy prison sentences for things they did not do. I'd love to know what "point" I'm missing because you didn't HAVE A POINT. You just want to argue that you think this guy is guilty. If you had any reading skills whatsoever, you'd see I didn't argue otherwise. In fact, I even said it's possible that he is guilty and got extremely lucky with a plea bargain.
No, I don't think I live in Somalia. I think I live in Huntington, WV, surrounded by a bunch of uneducated, ignorant, retarded ass people like yourself that are too dumb to comprehend what they have read.

On that same token, if they had enough evidence to convict him, they wouldn't have given him a misdemeanor with 1 lousy year of probation.
Clearly critical thinking (or it appears, ANY kind of thinking) is not your strong suit. It would be so nice if non-functional minds like yours were accompanied by non-functional mouths.

Well in my opinion, if this guys family DID pay over 500k in fees and he still got a yrs probation then someone took them for a ride. 500 thousand dollars is a shit ton of money. In this hell hole of a town 500 thousand dollars would wipe his record completely clean. Somebody told y'all a biggen if you really think 500k was spent on his defense. That much money isn't spent on murder cases in this area.
Is this the same guy that was married to a chic named Jamie?
I'd like to "have" Jamie. I bet that's some good stuff. Mmm mmm
Are they still together?
