Hey Mittler, I cant put a grain of salt into any religion that my great grandfather could read and say... "I was there and that didn't happen."

Sorry, there is no evidence. I invite you to post links yo said evidence though. Oh, "geologist" from christian academies wont be counted, you understand.
Good News wrote:
And yes many scientists do to. On top of that there are historical reports in 72 languages in 8,000 different regions of the Earth that support a global flood.
It used to flood, it still does. Of course ancient cultures will talk about it. However, since you brought up these ancient cultures, why didn't they die out? I guess the bible was lying when it said it wiped out everyone but Noah and his incestuous brood. That or maybe the other cultures just didn't notice?

Has their been localized flooding just like today? Yes. Global flood that covered all the earth. No.
Good News wrote:
We both acknowledge the fact of Polystrate Fossils that traverse every layer of strata are found around the world. Which is exactly what happens in floods. Feel free to reach a different conclusion but I call it like I see it.

Hmm, none of the geologists are screaming "Global Flood! Godidit!" here. Sorry, I thought this one had been so debunked that no theist was still trying to use it. Oh, as always, if you don't like wiki, follow the sources.
Good News wrote:
Why do you believe that religion and science are at odds with each other? As if there are facts I do not believe in, when it`s actually the other way around.
Because religion has nothing scientific about it. The bible is full of nonsense. Science observes evidence and tries to form conclusions based on the evidence. Religion starts with a conclusion and then tries to find evidence to support it. That's not the way it works.

"There is alot of evidence of a global flood. Many geologists support these facts. And yes many scientists do to. "

Cite one peer reviewed paper that backs this up.

"On top of that there are historical reports in 72 languages in 8,000 different regions of the Earth that support a global flood. "

Many cultures also reports dragons, unicorns and mermaids.....

"We both acknowledge the fact of Polystrate Fossils that traverse every layer of strata are found around the world. Which is exactly what happens in floods. Feel free to reach a different conclusion but I call it like I see it. "

Explained - http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/polystrate/tr...

"Why do you believe that religion and science are at odds with each other?"

Religions aren't even consistent with each other. Is it 6 days in Genesis or billions of years as in the Rig Veda? Do we eat pork or abstain? Is shellfish clean or unclean?

Religion explains absolutely nothing empirically.

Did Noah take two Chinese, Native Americans, etc... With him on his big boat?

How do you explain the existence of these cultures that could not have existed if your flood nonsense actually happened?
How did he get polar bears and how exactly did they get back to the north after Noah landed?

This moronic story was the breaking point for me and churchies like yourself. I figured out it at about 11 years old in bible school that these were fables.
When will you grow up?

Of course they are. And I think it also answers the human condition in general and how foolish racisim and xenophobia is. It also expeles the idea that we are different, when we are biblically the same, in body and spirit.

Right.

On another note
Do you think Mitt Romney is an apostate since he believes that God was a flesh and blood person and Jesus and Satan both are his sons?
That is in direct opposition to your church's teachings.
Thoughts?

I believe he`s more occultist then the Catholic Church. I disagree with alot to be honest.
I believe each person`s faith should be thier own cross to bare (pardon the pun). As long as any canidate running for any office seperates religion and state/national duty, I`m fine with whatever they have personal conviction in.
But it`s easy for me to be that way, I usually have a few key issues that (for me atleast) out weigh alot of the other defining views.
What exactly is my Church`s teachings? Remind me agian since you know?

It's a pretty well known doctrine that Christians believe that their god was not made of flesh. Man created in Gods image but it's always bren acknowledged as his celestial image. Check with your church dude. Thats a softball question.
Romney's cult believes that God was a flesh and blood man from the planet Kolob that lived a perfect life which made him a God of our planet.

Very soft pitch indeed. Yeah the whole Holy trinity... God, Jesus and Holy Spirit. I do believe it. No I don`t believe what Romney does. But that must drive you crazy to have religious nuts incharge. I mean it`s nothing really new for you is it? But I would like to ask you a queston as well if you don`t mind? Does religious affiliation play a Major role with your decision?

Not really
I think all religions are pretty silly.
Some a little nuttier than others
I'm talking to you Scientologists
But all are faerie tales to me
I don't like Romney saying he's bringing God back to the government though
I think government and religion should be completely separate

The fact is, whether you believe or not, the prophecies and promises of the Bible are going to occur, just as written. A person's belief is not going to change the plan that God has nor release that person from His judgement.

Just because the Bible says it doesn't make it true.
Also, the Bible contains many failed prophesies.

The fact is, whether you believe it or not, the prophecies of the bible are not going to be fulfilled, Jesus will never return(hes busy not existing) and when you die, you will cease to be. Make peace with it.

See? I can make claims too! This is fun.

You know, were your god actually real, he'd have a lot to answer for. He's kind of a dick.

That's hilarious coming from someone who believes ridiculous BS without any shred of proof. Your whole religion is predicated on belief without truth. Faith

Quoting the bible isn't proof.
