The latest rumor seems to be a strong one. 65-200 hourly workers will be laid off. The almighty dollar strikes again.

Well it is true. 66 from Huntington and 19 from bernaugh. Still not sure how that is spelled even after working for the wonderful special metals Corp for years. The big question is really when it is going to happen. Meeting tomorrow about jobs that will be discontinued in each department. Lot of questions about how thistle is going to be handled. 66 people will completely wipe that department out. no one will be trained to do those jobs even though no one will want to work there. When they let them into our union they never reclassified the jobs. So they are several dollars an hour below out lowest paid job step. Unemployment will he a pay increase for anyone that is laid off in thistle. Callidonia will be interesting to watch the next few month I know that. God help us all. But we will make it. May take a few months but we will be going strong again. To much of a nitch market and some products others still can't produce as we can on 60 year old patch work machines
