My docotor gave me 1 prescrition of 20 5mg hydrocodone for a broken toe, and called to get a refill and they said there is no way i'd need any more meds for a broken toe. I explained to them that i work on my feet all day and it's unbearable but they still denied me...any suggestions?

Good for the Dr!!! If you're in that much pain, get enrolled in a Pain Clinic @ CHH or SMMC, where the Dr can monitor your pain & meds. |

I agree. There are other medicines one can buy across the counter that will relieve pain, such as tylenol and various other types that will fight against pain. |

Most doctors won't write pain meds anymore. I agree that a broken toe should be giving you that much pain unless it is not healing correctly. Make an appointment with the Doctor if it is giving you that much pain. Pain pills never healed anything and should be used only as a short term fix. They are highly addictive and then you would blame the doctor for getting you hooked on them. Take a Aleve and suck it up. Not trying to be mean, just I would rather live with a little pain than get hooked. Also try elevating it when you get a few minutes and some ice.

Simple. Switch doctors. While you are at it,start fresh with new pain symptoms. Ive been getting them prescribed for 4 years now and there is not 1 thing wrong with me haha

Perc 5s are not a high dosage. One refill shouldn't be a problem. Go back to your original Dr.
Don't listen to these dweebs, they act like any sort of medication is from the devil, like the mom from waterboy. |

Seriously? You need more narcotics for a broken toe? Ask for 800 ibuprofen. Works way better than lortab.

Percocet is oxycodone, and that is pretty hard shit. This guy said hydrocodone. The red flag here is the guys says he went back to work with a broken toe that he obviously can't tolerate. Not only is that stupid, it's a safety hazard for him and other employees and would probably get this rocket scientist fired. That said, he probably doesn't even work and is looking for excuses to get drugs because he's a pill fien. |

So then, "legalize it" eh liberal hippie? This whole place is full of pillhead pieces of shit, and I guess you're one of them. Maybe he's not, but the chances that you're not over there beating off to Bill Maher are greater. By the way, I saw where they put your post election party video from 2008 on the Internet: |

Reference was made to the liberal notion that drug use and its control should be left to the user and not the government. Which is ironic given the exact opposite stance they (e.g. you) take in regard to the economy. It just went over your head, but that's probably because you're high.
Dipshit. |

I appreciate all the comments. Just to clear things up I have done everything i can to alleviate the pain including ice, elevation, ibuprofen and aleve. I am not a drug addict seeking to get high. The doctor excused me 1 day from work and gave me a boot that slightly helps. If it weren't for just getting this job i wouldn't be walking on it much, but i can't risk losing my income at this point

Don't sweat it man. Here in the real world we realize that your Dr gave you what amounts to a string Tylenol. Ignore the condescending morons who think everyone's a drug addict. They don't get out of their trailers much. |
