There is no mafia or mafia influence in Huntington. Anyone that tells you otherwise is blowing smoke and wants to sound connected or in-the-know.
Retired guys up in Follansbee but nothing here.
Closest thing to it are close knit groups of good ole boys.
good ol' boys providing tax shelters for out-of-state mobsters. Seriously, go try to buy a condo in the Frederick. Tell him you want one of those on the lower floor that has the windows boarded up.

I fell upon this link after spending last week with friends in Youngstown. You are ALL so off base and you do not even know it. Unless you have prosecutorial evidence of what you speak, probably not a good idea to keep rehashing the information you do have. Does it make your life more exciting to think you know anything about the family?

I dint know if there are (were) mafia ties in Huntington it would be interesting to read about if ppl didn't get in trouble.... All I know is I would rather have mafia ppl here than the current Detroit drug dealers at least mafia ppl had some form of a business plan... Not just shooting ppl for the fun of it...
What exactly do you think mafia does? One of the many things they do is push drugs & murder.

While researhing the tunnnels I came upon some information about the ties to the mafia.
Does anyone have any information on this subject, specifically a guy named Bill Schwartz or William Schwartz? This guy was the owner of the athletic club on 9th street from 1947 to sometime in the 1970s.
what do you know about bill Schwartz

Mafia Ties in Huntington, WV? Not a chance, to be a mafia there would need to be even street level gangs working. If that were the case Detroit drug dealers would be hit left and right for selling on mafia grounds. That's not the case. A mafia is well educated and very organized, statistics say West Virginians lack these characteristics.

I will say it again, there is no mafia in Huntington, period. Again, if someone tells you different they are trying to impress. I suppose next they will say they built the Htgn mall in the shape of a gun, lol, idiots.

If you have specific questions regarding Pittsburgh or Cleveland associates or activities, I may be able to help. There is no "family" per se in Cleveland anymore since the Cleveland Heights idictments back in '97-98. I'd have to say the strongest group up there is the Mason family which have strong political ties or the Kleem/Shaker lebanese family. Pittsburgh is a bit more centralized and organized with the aging Bobby Iannelli still at the helm.
Exactly!!!

<quoted text> This is actually true but the best thing to do is not talk about it. He has done everything he can to do things the rigjt way and is a good guy for the most part. He always seems very quiet but he tries to keep it that way. His cousin Anthony is another great guy but I wouldn't mess with either one.
Is the cousins last name colosante? Just curious...

And yes.. mafia has ties all over. Most run businesses now.. but still do what they're told.. and they did really good in the 80's having some rednecks clean up the street... and do business for them... helped people.. etc.
