My basement carpet needs to be replaced. It had some discoloration and the fibers are flattening. Does anyone know of a good carpet business that will replace my carpet for a good price? http://www.hardwoodfloorsandmoreinc.com/Produ...

Thanks for your response. I went with Lowes... That was "cheap" to me. Thanks Bub.
I had family that had a carpet and tile company for years in the Tri-state area. What ever you do, do not pay the installer a dime till he finishes the job. They are all independent contractors and are not employed by Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. They will try to get part of the money up front do a little work and say they have to come back and then never do.

I realise there are still some honest reliable carpet installers out there, but it's rare so be careful.

One more thing, if you have stairs that you want carpet installed on, have them cut and cover each step individually. Do not allow them to take one piece of carpet and just staple it to the steps...it will come up.

If you had a way to haul it back...you could just go to Dalton Georgia and buy it yourself. That way you could get $50.00 square yard for about $15.00-$20.00 sometimes even cheaper.

What ever you do, do not use Beverly Hills Carpet. They charge you for one carpet and order a much cheaper weight. Rick screws over everyone including the installers who work for him. He will take people's money tell them their carpet is on back order and pay for the person who bought before they did carpet. He robs Peter to pay Paul. He needs turned in for his shoddy business practices.
