I am going to be coming to Huntington soon. Do these employers drug test for entry level jobs? Thanks.

Yes all employees are pre screened and randomly after (the hospitals do it every two weeks like a lotery). So if you dont have a RX for your "drug of choice" I would get clean before you walk in for an interview. P.S. the fake stuff wont work at the hospitals:-)Not sure about HIMG though???? Hope this helps and good luck.

Nope, I have worked for everyone. We do not drug test. If we did, we would have no employees here.

I know st Marys does test. Everyone will when you hire in that's a given. My mother is clinical manager there and I remember her being super upset that she had to fire one of her favorite nurses for failing a drug screen. Hospitals will be tough on their drug.policy now days

St Mary's does urine drug test. They send them out to a different lab company so there isn't a conflict of interest to read it. They do it when you interview for a position and randomly if someone suspects you of being high or on something

Why are people always asking if a possible place of employment does drug tests? Don't do drugs, then you wouldn't have to worry about the tests.

I was thinking the same thing. And I wonder why people get on Topix and asks if they are hiring.

So they only do a urine tox????? You'd think there'd be room for error

I think it's BS that so many employers drug test. Many people take medicinal cannabis or use other substances for religious or medicinal purposes. I guess the constitution doesn't apply anymore.

Big pharm has way too much power. Pills are OK but take a little medicinal ganja and it's suddenly the crime of the century.

They all 3 do an initial screen but the place with the highest employee satisfaction and compensation seems to be:

1. Cabell Huntington

2. St. Marys (soon to be purchased CHH it appears)

3. HIMG

There is another player in the game in this area, Genesis Health Care but I do not know much about them.
