Is it worth putting my application im there, are all the things people are saying about that place true? Are the admin employees that bad or are all these things just rumors?

You have to form your own opinion. The only people that will probably comment are ex- employees, such as myself. I worked there for a GOOD while.. I thought all nursing homes were like that so I accepted my fate and stayed until I could no longer tolerate the shenanigans of management. No, not all nursing homes are like that. My new employer brought to light just how TERRIBLE that place was. But again, I'm just an ex employee. Maybe some current employees would disagree.

Highest payed nursing home but pretty bad conditions. Lots of mandation depending on ur position. Heritage isnt the best but is alright place if you want a nursing home. Madisin park i wouldnt even drive by. That place is full of neglect and abuse. Plus the pay is sh!tty. Hope this helps.

i too am an ex-employee have never, ever worked in such a horrible place, neglect, due to overworked staff, ask yourself why would any employee quit before the 90 days were up and they were going to get a 500 stipend from a sign on bonus, and they quit any way, now times are tough and money is tight but corporate would have to go in and wipe out the whole bunch of the administration and start over to much mandation i know one nurse got mandated 4 times in 1 week that is because the turn over is tremendous in 6 wks that i worked there i seen at least 5 nurses come and go and couldn't even begin to tell you how many C.N.A.'S

I heard that administration is letting addicts work there while their high. Knowingly letting them do pills in the facility. Its sickening. That place is just a drug hub! And im sure the DON would like to explain her part in the drug use going on there. It is unbelievable.

maybe even the A.D.O.N. could explain her behavior as well, i truely have not in 20 yrs ever worked in a worst atmosphere of just plain ignoring what needs to be done those in charge only do what the corp. allows them to do and to get by with and i know they have gotten many, many complaints, and lawsuits have been filed but the same people are running the place, so nothing anyone can do other than this community band together and refuse to place their family members there untill they change things..sadly the old saying money talks and b.s. walks is true, untill we as a community cut off the money supply nothing will change...

I've been in this place. It smells like a dog kennel. That along with the smell of hospital food when they bring the carts out at "chowtime" I'd recommend wearing strong perfume when visiting.

how many times has it changed its name......that will tell you something.......if the state comes in to shut them down they just change their names.....there really is no such thing as a good nursing home........not sure if medicare is cracking down on SNFs like they are on hosptials......we have to document on admit any decubiti we see or beginning stages.......if they come from a SNF then it falls back on them......if we dont document it medicare refuses to pay for the treatment of the ulcers and the hospital eats that big bill.......

they change names because they were sold to bigger corporation, and no all nursing homes are not like this some are bad but i have worked in a few this place is the worst i have ever been in, when state comes in they clean it up and make things look good temp. and then the minute they leave it is make to the same old shit..no supplies, not enough staff, they may pay better than other places here but not all sunbridge in teays valley pays better and is better and the new rosewood terrace is better paying.

I worked with both Julie and Woody over 6 years ago. They were both always respectful of me and I cannot say anything bad about either one. Of course they were not in charge of running the place at he time. They were supervisors. The mandation was bad then, but not their faults.

Everyone will have their own opinion based on fact or speculation. You need to go there and form your own opinion, can learn a tremendous amount by observing the behavior of others.

Checkmate, on the word game. I was looking for the word Checkmate. You said paper and my reply was dragon.

Nice to meet you WoodsMan.

If I may ask,

What do you know of the woods. I ask because as a young girl I would walk the mountains with my grandfather; I was very observant for the most part and I learned all about nature.

In the Spring, Early Spring- Around May and April (it is a seasonal plant)On the moist side of the mountain a plant grows there. You pick this plant and it is prepared as if one were making a wilted salad. Do you know of these terms?

My grandfather called it tangle gut and I have been searching for the real name. Do you perhaps know what I may be talking about.

I summise that the plant was called this because the roots are very long and often times plants are enmeshed with one another.

It has a purple flower that reminds one of a bell. Beautiful and a very tasty plant.

It can be adapted and you could merely cover the plant with hot bacon dressing.,,,,,,

You can't get such treasures in a grocery store.
I know a lot of not only the woods but these here Mountains, and yes I know of Tangle Gut, not many do unless their raised in the Country way of life.

I worked there over 2 years. Like i said Julie and Woody were good to me. Supervisors then. All nursing homes have their problems. There is rarely enough staff anywhere you go. It is not the people who run the place, but the owners of the facility wanting to make bigger bucks. Most of the staff tries their best to care for the residents. Sometimes there is not enough help. But I can tell you that I saw Woody pitch in one night and help the staff to the point he was exahausted when they were short.

I worked as an L.P.N on Julies floor and she was always willing to help with any problem I went to her with. (4th floor.) She was always kind to me and cared about any problem that was brought to her attention.People judge others to quickly. I am sure that her position now is much more demanding. Dealing with the staff, the patients there and families as well as corp. and the state. Think about it.
