Don't get caught and you'll be fine. Tell them that you're not hiding anything, but that u don't consent to searches. If they hassle you, give them a little while to "intimidate and bully" and eventually steer the situation to ask the officer if you are being detained or if you're free to go. Know your rights!
I've tried that before. An ass whooping followed

The gun got to b visible and unloaded it can't be concealed if u don't have ur concealed permit ..everyone has a right to carry a gun as long as its unloaded and visible..I carry my rifle in my car it can't be covered and my ammo is either in my trunk or n my glove box..and if u carry ur pistol in ur hip ur gun got to be visible at all times so make sure its not covered by ur shirt ...I got my info from cops from putman co and cabell

The cops will tell you stuff that they want you to do but that's doesn't mean it's the law. I had on tell me that my pistol had to be in a holster which is not on the books anywhere

Truckin, you are right in legal sense, but this is WV and our law enforcement has 2-3 diffrent types those who observe the law and act correct and accordingly, those who act like a peace officer for the power, and perks, and the ones whom just have the position to hide corruption. Today's times it doesn't much matter the law it matters the ranking and what can b stretched and bent and still be mended. I have followed laws of ccwp accordingly and to my avail its paid off without any trouble so far, best thing to do is check not only local law where you carry but also other city, state, and federal paw for each and every state, and cities you will b carrying certain states don't observe wvccwp, and laws, some require We lock our gun open and separate ammo and weapon, some require We have a automotive safe located and mounted in the trunk to lock the weapon in while visiting, some have no gun law and u can't even possess a weapon.

The ultimate question guys. I have a CC permit can I conceal the gun in the glove box? And if so what about the fine print on my WV permit that reads " about His/Her person" is in the glove box or center console about my person? It's a little uncomfortable strapped to my hip while driving. Thanks

I agree better stock up on ammo for your gun too, always pay cash so "they"cant track your credit purchase.I carry mine too, have a flea mkt gun hid in the woods for a just in case moment,I read in NRA magizine a while back the nice Gov. jerks wanted the ammo makers to micro code every bullit, also wanted them to make ammo only last 6 mo, but both stupid Gov. ideas failed.Keep prepping !

WHOA - this is not a Georgia forum. In Georgia, you can carry it loaded and in plain view or not in your car.

If you have a CCW, you can carry it in a holster to and from the car. If not, be damned sure you have it in a pistol case going to and from the car and your houue and be damned sure you do not take it out of the car anywhere else.

There is no such animal as a "clip".. unless you are a gang banger, the correct term is "magazine"..

A Clip is inserted into a Pistol, a Magazine is inserted into a Rifle. A Clip holds pistol ammo, a Magazine holds rifle ammo. An automatic Rifle holds rifle Ammo, a sub-machine gun holds pistol ammo. A machine gun holds rifle ammo. Basic rule of thumb.

Conceal carry permits are for the few.
On you 4-wheeler, in plain sight, don't worry.
In you vehicle, in plain sight, don't worry.
Under your seat, the Trooper will Jack-slap you.
Transporting out-of-State, have unloaded hand Gun in lock box with Ammo in Trunk, not in your possession. Rifle, unloaded in case, with Ammo in Trunk, if Pick-up Truck, in locked glove box.
Common sense rules with Law-Enforcement Officers, if they see that your are attempting to do right, they will also.
