I am so sick of restaurant servers who are lousy at their jobs, have no regard for customer satisfaction and expect a financial reward...a tip...in spite of their rude, uncaring and insulting behavior! I know everybody has a bad day now and then but if you will take the time to observe how customers are being treated, you might agree. Next time you are at Cracker Barrel on Rt.#60 in Barboursville, notice the heavy set, middle aged blonde waitress. She's a smart mouthed woman with a bad attitude that should not work in contact with people at all. Who wants to spend money enabling ignorance? Don't do it!

I swear every time I go to Cracker Barrel I'm treated as nice as can be. I really enjoy the whole experience. I haven't noticed that waitress. I know I've never been waited on by someone of that description, but my experience is always so nice. I love that restaurant. What, specifically, happened? Sometimes rudeness begets rudeness (not that that's right, but it does).

I don't know this particular server but I agree with what u said 100% they just assume u are going to give them a good tip and when people tip a bad server just to be nice you are promoting bad service. Tip accordingly leave a quarter if they are bad so they will know that u just Didn't accidentally forget the tip. Service all around has gotten awful.

I would say you are a bad patron just from the way you are bad mouthing this establishment! Why not just leave and not go back and not bath mout the waiter? It would make you look more like a better person if you were not to say those negative things...

Hello Sara,
You may or may not agree, but being a "better person" does not require excusing or ignoring substandard service by being silent when registering a complaint might improve quality. Better service better tips, everybody wins. Also, to use your' words, "bad mouthing" is exactly what you have done on this forum. You know nothing about what you judge. You might focus on your' own self-righteousness.

I'm glad that you enjoy Cracker Barrel, I too enjoy most of them. My family just happened to be traveling through B'Ville and had a waitress that was unbearable. Yes, rudeness begets rudeness but that wasn't the case. Hopefully, she was fired. We got a genuine apology from the management and went merrily on our way.(Actually, the subject of this forum is regarding not tipping for bad service.) Hopefully, you will always have a good experience

If a server is rude to me I immediately ask to speak to the manager, pay for whatever food or drinks have been consumed and leave. I would NEVER eat anything that is brought to me after I complain about a server. I know they will do things to your food if you complain about them. And I always insist I pay for the food I have eaten already...I don't leave a tip of course. Too many people complain about poor service to get a free meal. I want the manager to know my complaint is serious and not just a scam to get something for free. Normally I am an excellent tipper, at least 25-
35%, but one snide or rude comment or a swear word from the server and I am done. They only get one chance with me.

I think you overlooked the part where I asked "what, specifically, happened?" What was said, who did what, etc.
