The top 2 percent went up. The rest had their tax burdens reduced. Even if they don't pay at the end of the year, they still have a tax burden. By reducing the tax burden, they can receive higher credits, earn more and still pay less, and widen the gap between paying taxes and avoiding them altogether. And if you're referring to Willard's 47 percent f_ck up, the reason it was a giant f_ck up is because most of them are elderly or ex military. Nine out of ten people receiving assistance have jobs and go to work.

This is why we need a flat tax. Then there is no argument on who pays what and loopholes.

Sure there is. You're living in the days of Ross Perot. Flat taxes don't work. Why should somebody earning 30k a year have to pay 15 percent of his income when he struggles to make ends meet while a guy making 20 million never does? If you want to suggest a flat tax for everyone with income over $500K, have at it. But the GOP will kill you for trying. They'll fight for the rich and their loopholes until they're no longer a party. Who do you think protects GE paying no taxes on 14 billion in profit? It's not the democrats.

The rich can be job creators. Have our government repeal The Free Trade Agreement. Tarrif other countries as they do to us. Any American company that produces goods outside the US and brings it here, you tarrif them harder. That would force the rich to bring back manufacturing jobs. Stop with all the foriegn aid and invest in America. It is the people's money, not to spend to pave the way for the rich. We do not need to police the world and our citizens like we have.

I do not see how a flat tax would not work. Everyone pays their fair share. You would not complain about the rich paying less. And briging back jobs would help. We have to close the loopholes. Nobody wants to be the stepping stone to a better America. It has to start somewhere or we are doomed

Tried to pass a bill to penalize outsourcers and increase tariffs for their products - blocked by dumb tea baggers. "Stop foreign aid" is what dumb tea baggers say out of stupidity. Isolationism doesn't work. We need allies. Our money goes to the military and to pay healthcare costs for old people. Tea baggers throw a bitch fit when we even mention cutting the military budget and they fought reforming healthcare to the tune of 37 failed votes. They haven't proposed an alternative, mind you, either because they think it worked before or they're too stupid to think of anything. And if they think it worked before, they're too stupid either way. They're duped into thinking that poor people are the problem. By rich people.

It was the rich who fought FOR the FTA. That was a win-win for them. It gave them access to new markets world-wide and cheap labor for making their beads and trinkets. The FTA is the direct result of the government you guys always wanted--one that is completely controlled by big business.

By the way, duped tea baggers, foreign aid is a whopping ONE PERCENT of the US budget. But it's more than we spend on food and cash assistance to people who aren't disable or elderly. Amazing. Those are the two things that you guys think are the BIG PROBLEMS with spending. They aren't. You're duped.

If you want to bring back jobs, you give a tax break to the consumer class, i.e., the middle class. Their buying power is what creates jobs in this country. Always has been. Always will be.

That is the problem with America, politicians stand in the way from both sides. They do not care as long as they get their money. And people call it being isolated if we try and take care of our own people with our own money. We rebuild to become strong and then help again but not like we have.

if people really want to re-build America, you need to do two things:

1.) Remove corporate influence from our government. No more lobbying. No more campaign donations. No more political endorsements No more special interests.

2.) Eliminate all religious influence on the government. People are free to worship as they choose and where they choose, but that is a very personal and private thing and has no business in how this country is governed.

What have the democrats stood in the way of? And like I said, cutting the one percent of our budget we spend on foreign aid is stupid. It's probably the best investment our government makes.

There is too much left and too much right. They stand each others way. There is good in both and bad. But both sides refuse to compromise for the good of the people. To take a page from your book, democrats did not want to compromise when they had the house and senete. Pelosi and Ried ring a bell. Now Boehner is the jerkweed now
Huh? Pelosi and Reid didn't compromise? Bush passed everything from illegal wars to unfunded tax cuts for the rich. The democrats are still compromising. They've offered cuts. But since they don't gut the poor more, the tea baggers said no. Ridiculous. There is only party who refuses to compromise. They'll compromise, but only with a white guy.

Then the blinders come on. As soon as democratic president came they became bullies. They both became insane thinking they were the power. This is true and we all know it. Both sides are babies so do not act like the the democratic party is above it. So being pig headed about it only shows that you are still a left wing bigot.

Sundog....I agree and you are right about the lobbist and sepcial interest. Our laws and constitution is based on religon, but there should as written be divide of church and state on politics. That is how we were about to escape religous prosecution and taxation with representation.

If you want to pretend both parties practice obstructionism, go ahead. We'll stay here though - in reality. There's one party that works for the rich and another that works for everyone else. The lines are drawn. They can't hide it anymore.
